Got out for trip on the lake. Used the old Lemon to get the boat down there. Front brake was a little seized :/ Pretty glassy out.

Took my nephews, from Texas, for trout fly fishing on the South Platte River - 11 Mile Canyon (Colorado). Google Maps . There was about 2 feet of solid ice on the river and a ton of snow.

Can you spot the FJ60 in the first photo?

Trout caught = 0.
Toes frozen = 30.
Meatballs eaten = approximately 17.
Good times = infinity.

A huge thank you to Anderson at Voodoo Cruisers, Cameron at Mosley Motors, and Georg at Valley Hybrids for making this trip possible. Voodoo Cruisers provided the rebuilt 2F, Mosley the Holley Sniper EFI, Valley Hybrids the H55 transmission and and rebuilt transfer case, and I provided the labor of getting it all installed.

The FJ60 made it like a champ from 6000 ft in Colorado Springs up to 9,000 ft at the fishing spot. My distributor timing was still a bit off, but now that it is adjusted, I'm ready to take on Pikes Peak at 14,000 ft.

Did you catch anything? I never had much luck with trout in CO when it was cold.

I relaced my starter... could have rebuilt it I guess but the deal I got at the dealership was as good as I could have been all in with the part from toyota parts deal after shipping, about $109.00 after core. On the plus side when I pulled my old one the teeth were worn so I felt better about replacing vs rebuilding.

Drove to Austin and back to knock the new off these Toyo mud terrains.

Mission accomplished.

@HemiAlex those are the 16" 70 series rims, correct? the whole combo looks right on that 👍

I previously had 33x10.5-15 on 15x5.5 factory wheels. The BF Goodrich was really 31.5” y’all brand new. Was closer to 31” after I put 35k on them.

This is 16x6 255/85-16 and is 33.5 unmounted and a true 33” at 35 psi.

I really like this wheel and tire combo. Thanks for the kind words.
