Enjoyed the short commute to and from work after digging her out of 10” of wet, heavy PNW snow.

Fixed my cb radio, installed a tow hook on the old arb bumper, crossed 310,000 miles, replaced my dash bulbs with new 194 green leds, fixed a bad turn signal relay and put a hand throttle in.

Its all just small projects for me now. The truck is running great.

Installed my vacuum and power steering pump. Time for a test run to check steering and brakes on the SOA conversion. It handled amazingly. Has the FJ80 rear axle with disc brakes. The proportioning valve is wide open and the brakes worked perfectly.

Exhaust had to be chopped during the SOA swap. My down pipe at the turbo was leaking due to a used down pipe I got from my buddy.

After work took it out in my dads field for a drive and photo shoot.

Looks soooooo good!

Would you care to share what you did to revive the paint? Turned out really nice.

Glad to. What I did below with links to products used. I'm definitely no expert but I watched lots of youtube videos to prepare!

1. Clay bar to remove surface contaminants:

2. Polish with V34 cutting compound on orange pad to remove oxidation

3. Polish with V38 polishing compound on white pad to make shine

4. Top with sealant to protect

Next step is to touch up most of the scratches and rock chips following this method

Details of your setup? I've been trying to get a good idea of headlight upgrades for my bone stock 62
Just bought from the link provided. They’re plug and play. Pretty pricey but I splurged on myself. Well worth it.

Shoveled it out.... first real snowstorm here in CT and man did we get DUMPED on!
What was that you said Alf @Spike Strip about me wrenching in the snow?

me wrenching in the snow?

the area under the 60 looks clear, don't know what you're complaining about...🤣

Should be around 68 degrees in LV today but its been really windy lately so not sure if any wrenching could reasonably be accomplished :slap:
