I am almost a week into a month long roadtrip of living out of my 60 and trailer. Its been quiet and very pleasant. Camp the last 4 days has been spectacular without a single other camper in sight. Life isn't just good, it's great.

See you at Round Up

Because winter won’t go away I stripped the back so it will be wire wheeled and then I got tintable Raptor bed liner. I also found a set of Cruisin Off Road sliders for the princely sum of $200 from a wreck I found. They had never been slid on, I fact hardly a mark on them. So they got attached last night. Now there will be no more complaining about getting in and out from passengers.

Probably need to change my radiator to a bigger full aluminum one while towing my possessions and trailer. I am getting scary heat spikes with AC on in Texas. The V8 is cooking on the small East TX hills every mile. I might try and find a scale and see what weight I am throwing down with loaded truck/trailer. My guess is somewhere close to 11k and probably 8-8.5K for the truck alone. Yay Internal cages and 37s... :flipoff2:

A good truck stop should have a scale.
Here’s to cooling your rig!

Yeah thats the plan tomorrow. I have always wondered how much the full set up weighs considering I take everything I own with me following jobs. I really need to drop a 5speed in but I want a motorcycle...decisions decisions...

Finished up the 3” exhaust on Snowball❄️ with @boots4 and wouldn’t you know it, look outside and it’s snowing.

Installed the downpipe and ran line to the muffler and wrapped with Thermo Tec Copper exhaust wrap.

Welding up the pipe

Ready for muffler for install.

Finished up and took it out and made fresh tracks in the snow. Took it out on the highway. It’s a beast. 4BT has serious torque.

Drove myself, a friend and the dogs to the river for some snowshoeing. Almost got talked into pulling a jackass out of the snow in his friend’s caravan but thankfully another vehicle came along and I let him steal the show instead.

Alright so heating issue resolved. Ran realtime monitoring from my code scanner. The temps spike to only 215 on the max end it just happens to be really really close to the orange on my gauge. That leads into my second problem. Fuel pump cavitation with my inline pump from an LRA 40 gallon tank. I have no idea how I am going to remedy that in the field since I cant easily drop an in tank pump in on the fly.

This mess leads to shinny new parts. Finally installed the OME. It’s a little too stink bug for me. Going to see if it settles or possibly put some spacers in the front. I do like the ride though.

Nice!
Drive it around with some weight in the back, and it should settle a bit...but some stink bug will still be present.
It’s when you load it up that it will sit level, and ride so nice!
