Oh wait, those aren’t cuffs, my bad! Hehe!

Cuffs? Wait who were you talking to about me?!

I cannot work up the nerve to expand the discussion to include another piece of winch gear commonly used with shackles.

"First Law of Holes: When you're in one, stop digging."

Love the bottle opener and the bright yellow hooks (such a girl, I can’t remember their name).
Those suckers can be huge. When I worked for Texaco designing oil and gas platforms the installation contractors routinely used 300-ton capacity shackles that stood more than 3 feet high and 2 feet wide, and weighed almost 800 pounds. Impressive to say the least.

Finally got around to finishing up one of the cargo panels. I wanted to complete the first one before I started to do the other side. Just to make sure I liked what I was doing. Decided to not put a hinge on the access panels though. I wanted to be able to get complete access to the spaces after I put in a drawer system along with a fridge. A hinged door would make it nearly impossible to gain access with the fridge and drawers. Anyways put some combo locks, stainless hardware and there you have it. Also lined the interior with some flashing material I had.

I found one of those huge hooks on the side of the road awhile back. It’s hanging in my garage. Cruisers and bondage, take ‘em for a ride.

This popped into mind after reading your “laws” comment.

Nice read!

Awesome song. As a young child I can so clearly remember watching Dolly Parton and him in the Gambler on channel 20 on my little black and white tv.

That song goes right along with the 1st Law of Holes.

Most of the time I "know when to walk away and know when to run."

Recently procured this awesome book for my 18 month old son. "T is for Turbo"

Wish I had a book like this as a kid to learn the alphabet .

Still wish that F was for FJ.

Whaaaaaa, out of nowhere its back on road?
Well, nothing has changed yet, still need to do a lot to it this year...

Its totally drivable, but I wouldn't take it on any long trips as is. Just like to get it out for a short drive every once in a while to keep everything in working order.

If you love the smell of dead rodents and stale gym lockers....
Rust prevention time, shot some FluidFilm into my doors, rockers and frame.
Once you’re u get over the dry heaves it goes smoothly. Bought a 3 can pack with 360 nozzle on Amazon.

Finally got it running after 6 ish months.. Need to fix an air leak that I am getting at the tank pickup so that I can drive it more than 20 miles without having to stop and prime it.

I heard a strange noise (read: new) and after inspection I saw the bushings in my rear springs need to be replaced. They're OME reversible greaseable shackles. I've never replaced the bushings in these - hope it's pretty straight forward. I'll keep you posted on how it went.

Hey @BlackCat I’m interested in how those perform for you. The updated AT3W version seems like a good alternative to KO2s for 31s on stock wheels.

So here’s the deal, I had them on my built GX470 for a short period of time. They performed great on it, but wouldn’t balance whatsoever. After 5 attempts in 1,000mi, I ended up going back to nittos on that truck. Having said that, I know it was probably just a bad set of tires, and the chance of getting 2 bad sets is pretty slim, but I’m a bit apprehensive. Hopefully these will be easier to balance because they’re smaller.
