Been poking at the small trail tailor mini sliders without hoop for the rear...
unlocked front hubs because snow is gone =(

making a harness to power a nice lightbar that will sit on the top of my ARB front bumper...
everything ready , and will use the built in foglight switch to power it on (via relay)

=3

Tried out my new toy... I understand now why I was told I might want to forego the handle and the guard; they def get in the way.
Rust is ugly. Went and picked up some Ospho rust reformer at an Ace Hardware and for the time being added some to the driver side floor, top and underside.

So... I was the only truck. BUT, I went up against a very cool Fox body mustang and a 1980 Z28 in the 8o's category. It was threatening to rain so turn out helped me out a bit!

Where did you find that front plate?

No pictures cus I am to tired and worn out.

Rebuilt my full floating axle, pulled the third out of my semi floating axle (was rebuilt 0 miles ago) pulled the new brakes, fought the ebrake cable pins and got them removed. Swapped everything to the full floater (now it has new everything). Pulled the old semi floating axle out of the 60 and man handled in my nice newly rebuilt full floater axle. Broke 4 bolts (2 in the exhaust, 1 bump stop mount and small one that holds the cable in place on the axle).
Hooked up all brake lines, looked at the rear rubber line and went......awww crap as it looks not so well, so I ordered a new one tonight.
Got pissed off at the crappy job the exhaust looked to be (had to pull the tailpipe) from the down pipe back and ordered a new Cat and exhaust.

So the full floater is now in the 60 and ready for a brake bleeding....Wife said dinner was ready in 20 minutes. Had to stop wash up and eat. I guess I will finish this week.

God lord I’m tired just reading that.

There have been folks who have gotten bunk TH carbs...

True that, there are plenty of posts about the Trollhole secondary not opening. That said, I don’t know Trollhole and I haven’t ordered anything from him but in reading posts he always stands by his product and will replace if someone has a problem.

I didn’t realize it was brand new, 21 in is fantastic, use the o-ring, I’ve heard that works. Also, the tiny cork style o-rings looks thicker and better for sealing.

Started on my front end rebuild. New spring bushings, tie rod ends (555), steering stabilizer, full knuckle rebuild with marking HD seals, and SS braided lines (Christmas gift). Just got started this evening so I’m sure it will be a week long process working in the evenings.

I have that same Kobalt impact gun and it is such a savior not having air tools in my little garage. How are you securing the truck with the jack? I struggle to get a floor jack under and then have enough room to put a jack stand under each spring post.

I was hesitant at first on the cobalt as they were a gift. The more research I did on them the more it pushed me to keep them over a set of dewalt tools. The impact is a power house! I have a large set of jack stands that I put under the frame about 10" behind the spring hangers. I'm pulling the springs to replace the bushings as well of I would have just put a small set under the axle tube just outside the spring pads.

You should also double stack the wheels under the front bumper.
I’m a safety dork.

@ThorH The half plates I stumbled upon somewhere on the interwebs. I'll PM you when I dig it up. I run antique plates so I dont need a front plate. For the decades it did however, it wore the chrome off. These looked like the ones they put on in promo literature and brochures. They were more than I would think something like this would be but they are made well and look perfect.

So, 380 pages ago, I started this thread (wow!) - and today I go back in time a little. Don't have my 60 anymore, but still have some trail memories!

Put together a quick video with some awesome time with some awesome people, I hope everyone in this forum is still enjoying their 60's... I miss mine!

I Had a free day and a half, so threw a sleeping pad and bag in and went wandering, it felt good to get out and go with no real plan. it’s funny how I usually load up the 60 over the hundy, if it’s a fairly close trip, my friends don’t understand it when I tell them I would just rather drive it, It just feels more right to me.
