Put new tires on it, installed the Scion TC seats I bought from @Bripars40 in it. Filled it up 4 times to do a 750mile turn and burn to DFW to pickup another Mombossa RTT at TRDParts4U for my next trailer build.
Nice to run down the road turning 2700rpm at 75mph now.
Still fits in the garage but just barely.

I swapped out my TD #660 to the 660-1100#. After putting in the rear drawers and loading them up plus a bumper is next I needed them, or so I think :). I ordered these on Thursday at my door on Friday installed on Saturday. @reevesci customer service, can't beat that, thanks J!!

You have a lift in your garage?

Those turned out great in your 60! Bet they made for a much more comfortable road trip this weekend.

Yessir, the seats were a much needed improvement for long hauls. Thanks for the smoking deal on these.

Thank you for buying them! Oh and the whole reason I was selling parts was to fund buying a house. Thanks for the help as we closed on the house three weeks ago!

@chichiflys

My trollhole carb had a bad secondary out of the box. The linkage was bent and he offered to send me a new one. But when you know of several people with the same complaints, how is it an isolated incident? I draw no distinction between a $76 eBay carb and the TH aside from the price.

I recently took of a 10,000 mile trollhole that had a poor functioning primary circuit. It had huge amounts of metallic particles in the bowl and jets.

I put on a borrowed 200,000 mile never been touched Aisan carb and it ran better.

I bought the city racer carb and have been way impressed. The TH carb is now a door stop for my shed.
. I had the same experience except I couldn’t get a reply at all from trollhole. Bought a city racer carb and it’s been excellent.

I wish I did I don't even have a large at my house. My son works at a shop in Menlo Atherton and they let us use the shop for side jobs and personal work.

Man, I was so about to invite myself over. Lol.

better get on the permenant fix for the egr inlet pipe before that rubber plug splits some more and lets the air in...
Thanks - was thinking the same ting after looking at that last picture...cheers!

Seats are from a 07 Scion TC. Not direct bolt in. Had to remove all the stock mounts and passanger airbag safety stuff. I was able to keep the drivers side hight adjustment feature however. Used 1.5" angle on the stock seat sliders. They sit about an inch higher than the 35 year old worn seats.
They are very similar to FJ Cruiser front seats with better support and much softer .

That is damn slick!

Finished fabricating a 2" spacer for the LSPV on my '86 FJ60 project vehicle. It has the axles and braking system from the '89 FJ62 donor vehicle and an OME suspension. I know it's overkill but the machine shop I went to to check for cheap scrap material only had this heavy wall square tube, $5 for a 15"-long section. I can use the leftover length for fabricating anything that'll go in a 2" receiver hitch. I'll use 60mm long JIS M8X1.25 flange bolts I ordered online - they'll be here tomorrow.

While waiting for the paint to dry my wife and I went on a hike about a mile from the house.

Those look very nice. Currently running manual 3 series BMW seats in mine. They sit very high because of the early 60 floor. I’m not loving the position but also not ready to hack up my sheet metal to get them lower. Maybe these would work better? :hmm:

Thanks for posting.

I am 6'2" 195#. The seating position is better than stock but I still have about 5" of overhead to the headliner. It is taking a little getting used to but visibility is very much improved over stock. I am too tall to use the D/S seat adjustment but to a shorter person it would be welcomed. Both seat bottoms are the same hight also. Don't look hacked in or out of place. A little modern for the vintage but I'm good with that.
