While repainting my rear cowl vents I noticed my rubber flaps were missing. Thanks @doug20 for your original post. I also used some left over silicone rubber and staples to secure.

@drillduty
Nice!

I placed mesh screen over the opening, under the exterior grille when doing this same fix, keeps the bees away from nesting in there.

Freshening up the grill and mirrors it has been 5 years since being blacked out. Trying a new paint Krylon Dual super bond (paint and primer in one). Prepped the surface with Duplicolor grease & wax remover.

Ohhh.... I've been eyeballing those wheels. In white though...
Can someone please photoshop these on my 62? :)

I'll post up on Monday after I install them. Waiting for new blades on the siping machine. Gonna be sweeeet!
Sorry, no white.

Are the door jamb mouldings the FJ62 style (extra gasket material for better sealing)?
I still am confused by this. My 62 has the same grey trim around the front and rear door openings. The only rubber is on the doors. It's an early 88, was this a late 62 thing? Have any pics?

Sold my SOA setup and shipped it off to Wisconsin to a fellow mud member this past week. My dad loaned me a set of HJ61 axles and his 33s to keep it mobile for a few weeks. The look is a bit to "standard" for me, but there is no denying that 33 skinnies look damn sharp inside the 60 series fenders. And the 12ht is a lot happier pushing significantly less weight lol. Also good news was on my shakedown run back to Lubbock (400 ish miles) the only thing that went bad was the rear u-joints! Lucky considering we had no idea the condition of the axles.

C,

62 fronts had a bulb/seal combined with the edge trim.

Huh, interesting! I wonder why mine is different. A new mystery. I'll be contacting you soon then for the correct material. ;)

Installed a set of non-US wing windows! :D I think they go well with my Euro mirrors.

All this time I thought parts slingin' was a good payin' gig but the photo says otherwise, you can't even afford shoes!:lol::hillbilly:

Don't knock the sandels.. or similar Teva's... I even wear them with socks sometimes to embarrass the hell out of my kids...
