Road trip to South Bend IN for a gig and a football game. Impressed with how much the 60 can carry - 2 Les Pauls, One Nash TK-54, 2 Dr. Z amps, 14 cases of beer, 60 pounds of chili for the tailgate party, one Trailer Trash loaded pedal board, 5 coolers, tailgate flag and stand, battery powered speaker system for tailgate party, 3 camp tables, and some other assorted junk. The Halloween Show Friday was great, tailgate set-up came too early Saturday am and the cruiser ran like a top - nearly 500 miles round trip. 4th trip down there this fall...... I installed some after-market Aussie side mirrors from SOR before the trip. What a difference. I can actually see behind me now.

To be filed under “What did the daughter of a guy that owns a FJ60 do this weekend?”. Well, she left school with some pals and headed south to rock climb...... that being said, when she’s home from school, I do take her out in the 60 and teach her how to drive stick. She is a badass. Takes after her mom.

It's a DIY "J-Moose" rack. Made from an aluminum atv ramp. Affordable, lightweight, and strong.

Well it was actually last weekend, the weekend befor that, and all week in between, but I took my 60 to Death Valley (and back ). While off-roading in DV the welds holding the front Pside shackle mount to the frame failed. Wheeled it ~40 miles that way, eventually resorting to ratchet straps to sorta secure it, before getting out to civilization and finding a welder at the Panamint Springs resort. Co-owner Aaron saved the trip. Really good guy.

Last weekend it was about getting home from Death Valley. This weekend it's about getting ready for next weekend's Turf N Surf. I discovered my lack of brake lights was bulb-related, so I installed some LED lights in back (already had Pfran backup LED installed).
