Acquired some sweet new non-US spec front side marker lights. Much better quality than the U.S .variants (better rubber gaskets and metal housing instead of thin plastic). The loom side connectors from a non-U.S. cruiser are needed for the lights as they have different connectors. I am going to make an adapter with the old U.S. connector from the light on the loom side and the non-U.S. connector on the light side so I can avoid cutting wires in the factory loom.

The owner is super nice and very helpful. Email him for parts availability, some of the stuff on the website is no longer in stock unfortunately.

X2. Yep, I got a really obscure non-US part from these guys awhile back. I emailed the guy (Maarten, I think?) back and forth, didn't have the part but would put me on a "waiting list" for when they get salvage rigs in. Yea right....didn't think I would ever hear from them again.....seriously almost a year went by and he hits me online with my part and a couple other things he had found. I was impressed. Good dude.

Those side marker lights are cool looking, not flat like ours.

I've done biz with Maarten over the past 2 years and absolutely trust worthy, parts delivered as stated & always in perfect condition. I know they're working on a few in-house projects to replace NLA items - gaskets & w/s - and can often keep an eye out for parts if you put in the request.

Went wheeling, staked a 400km old tyre in the sidewall...

Did some of this:

Then...

Made it 250 miles then broke down 4 miles from home. 60 mph, cruising along and everything turned off. Plenty of gas, engine turns over, carb has fuel in the sight glass, dizzy looks like a dizzy... No idea. Scratched my head for most of the day today with no luck.

Finally got another small project done. Had ordered a Kaymar dual swing out rear bumper back in 2012. I had mounted the bumper only until I got other projects done. Got the tire carrier and jerry can holders out of storage and cleaned up. Now its coming together slowly. Need to dig out my telescope light and wire it in next...might take another month.

Installed new side view mirrors (70 series) and new OEM wiper arms. Also replaced the rear license plate garnish. Huge thanks to Beno for sourcing.

@Kian DUDE!!! Ok just went looking through your Flickr stuff and HOLY HELL! where is this place!?!?!?!?!!! I saw so much stuff in your pics that I wanted that my investment counselor randomly called and said NO and then hung up. There must have been a massive disturbance in my financial force......

Its Cruiser Parts up in Sullivan, NH !

Lots of good stuff there and an amazing selection of used parts.

Changed out AC fan motor and fan speed resistors. Was a snap and presto...have AC and all fan speeds work. Couldn't have done that without you guys showing me the paint by numbers path to wrangle. Thank you all.
