Just came back from a 2500 mile round trip from central France to southern Portugal and back.
Didn't think to take any pics, but I've got to do it again in 6 weeks time, except it won't be a return journey ;)
So I'll try to remember next time.

A little seat mod for my old back............ Works pretty well but I'd like it a little smaller/shallower.

@Petoors so what was overall lift gained on it vs. intended?!

@gregnash
My old suspension was very shot. So the lift I got was a bit more than expected compared to if the original suspension was still OK.
In the front I got 2.1 inches of lift, so it is close to the normal.
On the rear axle I got 3.1 inches of lift.
Front and rear I fitted OME-004 leaf spring packs.

Time to CRAWL !!! NP203 front half with splitcase adapter. Thanks a bunch @Lil'John !!!

Not trying to be too "grumpy old man" but you guys are going to find out
what a "pillar concussion" is if you don't get those noggin's inside the cab
while wheeling' ;)
Hahaha I imagine that is a fast learning curve!

Replaced the radio antenna

1HZ swap underway…

Do you have a thread documenting this swap? Is it going into a FJ62 or was the cruiser already a diesel?

Haven't got a build thread yet. Got all the pics and everything ready, but just have to get around to starting one.

The truck is a GCC spec '89 FJ62 G, with an H55.

This is definitely on the list for future work so I will be interested to see how you did it! Thanks.

I changed the oil, filled the t-case, installed a power inverter and put new gas struts that hold the back hatch open, then we went camping at the lake. My wife and I just folded the back seat up and slept in our bags on the floor. It was pretty comfortable. Funny story I thought I got 20w-50 for it and only after pouring the first jug of oil in did I discover I got 5w-30. looked at the other jug sure enough 5w-30 so I figured I would leave it in so it could clean out some carbon then do another oil change in like a month. I have to say its the best its ever run since I got it. The old oil was pretty smoked though and who knows when the PO changed it last but the cruiser is coming along. Oh yeah for got to mention I put some 32x1150's falcons on it they kind of remind me of the old school good years they ran on the racing broncos and trucks so They look at home her.
