Got the snorkel done. Used 3 inch ABS, parts from the original air cleaner and metal tubing and fitted a Safari cap right on top. Has some of this on before the TBI conversion, just finally put it back on. Had to re route it a little.

Got some new old parts today. I was helping a friends dad work on a ccummins motor and went into his storage to grab a hack saw and guess what was sitting there. Two rusty old pigs. I asked him what hes was going to do with those rigs and he replyed. "Get my Cummins going and you can have both of them" One fuel pump, new diesel and timing advance got in going. I got two pigs to part out now.

Sweet htown! What year they? Are they only good for parts, or is one/both able to be resurrected?

Jump started it and moved it 20 feet so I could clean out the gutter on the side of my garage. Removed all the dead leaves and twigs from the cracks and crevises on the pig, hosed her off, jump started her again, and then moved her back into her parking spot.

same thing minus the jump starting and the cleaning gutters part

Removed interior and chipped out the factory sound deadening/ insulation tar mat. Came up fairly easily. Uncovered some rust and holes, the largest being about 6"x3" on passenger side above front body mount. Body mount was packed full of dirt. Will probably start prodding with an awl to find additional thin or rotted areas before cleaning up and welding.

She's my DD....sad to have her down for a bit.....

I might be interested in the A/C depending on if it is factory or dealer, and if it will fit my '74...

Since the other Colorado pigs are coming out of hibernation it's time for mine too. Started it up yesterday for the first time in months, and drove it to work today. Time to continue on the neverending pig project.

What's this hibernation thing? Been driving mine all winter. Headed to Crested Butte tomorrow and back on Thursday.

The combination of my rear locker, mud tires, and snow and ice on the road all winter make for a sketchy/ dangerous drive around here.

Spring has sprung early this year so I can start to daily drive the pig, until we get a foot or two of snow in May.

My old BFG MT's scare me in the snow/ice...
