Wired up the plug for the trailer lights. I couldn't find the proper wires or connectors, so I finally went to my Haynes manual. It actually had the wiring diagram for a 74 pig. Found out there was supposed to be a switch, which changed the color scheme on the wires to the turn signals. I didn't have one.

I finally traced the color from the front turn signals back, and just spliced into them. I am now legal.

Where did you get that Ige?

it's a warranty led headlight that i "borrowed" from my trucklite rep. :D

i also snagged about another $1500 worth of leds from him to check out for the week....pretty freaking awesome. if only i was rich

Wow, very nice!

Truck-Lite - Catalog Product : 7'' Round 12v LED Headlamp

Looks to be around $550 a pair, let me know how you like them!

Ryan

Holy crap! $550 for a pair of headlights! There is no way in the world I would throw that kind of cake at a pair of headlights! That is insanely expensive! I'm sure they're super duper fantastic but in my mind that's about as useful as a wing on the trunklid of a Honda civic to make it a racecar! Unless you got the lights for free! Then I would take 4!
Jake.

Still grinding the bed away. My local Home Depot hasn't carried my favorite rust/paint strippers in a while and I am very sad. I just ordered a bunch from the internet. Nothing else works better, although a flap disc works better on deep pitted rust. They're these things:

Spent 10 bucks at Autozone (yuck) for carb heat riser ducts, and turned them into defroster ducts for the '70 pig.

Now on to filling the gaps in the broken windshield gasket that allows rain (and snow, discovered just today)into the cab with some black RTV goo. :hillbilly:

C'mon, summer....... :crybaby:

never did get a chance to drive the piggy with the led headlight in, but here's a nightshot. unfortunately, anyone who's ever tried to show how bright leds are will understand that the lights put out a lot more than the pic shows. anyway, had to get the light back to my rep as it was a warranty from another customer.

today, i got a bit more welding on the roof of the blue pig. it sucks. ih8bodywork. sun got lower until it was right in my eyes, so had to quit. hopefully will have the roof done tomorrow if i don't go wheeling instead

Took a break from Trials bike maintenance and toned down the bright white bumpers that the SO had done......
