Yes. Those mudflaps are floormats salvaged from my 60.

You know what I did for my Pig today? I drove my new 80 1000 miles, put 3 tanks of gas in it and spent 17 hours in the driverseat to pick up a new pair of bucket seats and mounts for my Pig. Coincidentally also helping jdog buy some primer for his Pig...
I had to do something nice for my Pig, she's been jealous of the 80 taking her spot in the driveway. Also have pieces & parts arriving almost daily, Pig is getting a little makeover, starting any day now. Stay tuned.

I will be repairing the tail gate power window today. I got a new gear kit for it so I hope all goes well. now to get the window down so I can work on it.

Cheers, Carlos.

started cleaning the mounts off my new fj62 front axle. anybody want to buy an fj60 axle all cleaned up for soa?;)

Had the factory AC serviced and charged on Friday.

Did the passenger side trunnion bearings on Saturday. Did the drivers side trunnion bearings today.

I thought today would be quicker, as I knew what I was doing today, but it was only 2 hours less.

Scaped the old insulation off the top as the first step in a long process to install anew headliner

what did you use to get it all off?

Scraped as much as I could off with a 6 in 1 paint scraper and a single edge razor blade scraper. Then sanded with 50 grit in a random orbital sander. It was a slow process as working over head was tough. It took about 10 hours to get it all the glue off. I still have the rust in spots to sand & treat

my pig work of the day was putting the rear driveshaft back in with a freshly added cv. Very happy with it. I got it out from an early 80's fj60 front driveshaft that was laying in my moveable storage unit which is also my parts 55. I took it took to gaylons driveshaft shop in lehi utah. They are the same guys who retubed my shafts in the first place. First rate service. This job of adding cv was 24 hour turn around. Pig drives much better now. much smoother.

Do you think vibrations killed your t-case?

Do you think vibrations killed your t-case?

Pinpoint it as the sole reason for tcase failure? Probably not. By definitely had alot to do with it. Time will tell to see how it holds up from here. I'm considering getting an Orion case and would also like to run a full float 80 axle in the back. But due to not being able to pick one up on any street corner, this winter I might be swinging a 14 bolt gm 1 ton rear under there. I'm a chevy guy also so I have a couple of those laying around. But the thing that holds me back is poor funding. So we'll see how it goes. For now really enjoy having it together and driveable:)
