I think the clouds and mountains are more interesting than the truck….

Yeah I’m guessing more fuel would help the spool. I don’t know the size/specs of the gturbo other than it’s a ct26 modded.
My Holset is smaller and just boosts like crazy and I’m basically stock. My boost is very quick and I don’t have to push it at all.
Turning the fuel is a quick easy test to see if that gets you going better
I too believe that the Gturbo is an embellished CT26 with a billet compressor that may have a couple more blades than the cast stock and slightly different geometry and lighter weight. I could be wrong but the thrust bearing may also be beefier or has better oil flow (according to an anecdotal source).
Do you know if your turbo is still factory balanced? I.e. you haven't pulled the core apart or anything like that.
This might be dumb but it's worth checking that you have no obstruction upstream or buggered filter.
Cheers!

same for me... maybe 1200 1225 tops.... unless its above 80f or so ambient then a bit moreI can attest to the fact that adjusting the fuel screw is directly correlated with the EGT's. I tuned mine until I can only put it to 1200F and beyond if ambient outside temps are around 85F and above, and I hold the throttle pinned for a long time. I also saw a slight reduction in power when I got to this point, and my boost is now 1-2 PSI lower overall (still hit 17-18 PSI max).
For me, this was the sweet spot between performance and safety/longevity.... play, test, play, test until you are happy with the results.![]()
aaahhhhhhhhh, there it isThat’s a neat picture. Did a few things. Hopefully this won’t make @bj70bc trip balls.

That’s just one of the miles and miles of dirt roads that run through the plantations down here. It’s easy to spend the better part of the day and never leave dirt.Charles your photo is great - really reminds me of bikepacking in Florida - getting an early start after the wild hogs messed up our camp site. Miles and miles of hard packed sugar sand roads punctuated by little towns with great dive bars.
Is that a flared fitting? If so, you need to seat the flared tubing onto the fitting, then tighten the nut down to hold the tubing tight to the fitting. Sometimes you may need to loosen the clamps that hold the tubing to allow you to get the alignment needed at the fitting.Looking for some help with my 75 series. Done a power steering box and putting new one back in, having trouble getting the fitting back on. Leaking out of the fitting, will attach photos of what I mean. If anyone has experience help would be much appreciated, can’t get this back on without leaking.
Indirectly, finally unloaded the 13B-T from the trailer ready for new water pump, rear main seal and machined flywheel to go on

Tomorrow is start to clean it all up before it goes in (when the clutch and water pump arrive)
What did you upgrade yours to?Do yourself a favor and upgrade that turbo. It will be so much more fun and “modern” feeling.

The challenge for me is I have nice stainless exhaust to go with it, and would prefer not to have to get that remade.
