I had clear ceramic tint added to my HZJ77 front windshield this past weekend. After seeing how well it performs on my Tacoma blocking the heat, I had to do the same to the HZJ77.

It is supposed to block 99% of UV and the same for heat. It certainly feels like it too on my Tacoma.

Added a hair more reverse lighting!!! Have it wired through my reverse lights .

Is that a flared fitting? If so, you need to seat the flared tubing onto the fitting, then tighten the nut down to hold the tubing tight to the fitting. Sometimes you may need to loosen the clamps that hold the tubing to allow you to get the alignment needed at the fitting.

If it's leaking around the threads, use some Teflon tape or Teflon pipe-dope on the threads when you install the fitting into the steering gearbox.
Yes it is a flared fitting, thanks for the advice about seating it correctly I've given it a go. It is a reconditioned power steering box and I suspect that the thread may be damaged. I have been told to try Threadtape on the fitting to stop the leaking thru the thread, but I've come to discover that when the thread tape makes contact with the hydraulic fluid it becomes very weak and seems to disintegrate a bit. I haven't managed to get the threadtape to go on the fitting successfully yet but I will continue to try, it's just in a very difficult position.

Loosen or even remove the bolts holding the steering box to the truck. This gives you some play or slack to get the hydraulic pipe lined up better.

@FJ73Texas - what percentage of tint blocking did you get? I've heard that 70% is reccomended for the sides and back, not sure about the windshield.

Front windshield is 70% and the rest is 40%. I didn't want to run a dark tint on the land cruiser.

I run 5% (yes, illegal) on my Tacoma doors and back window now and while it looks good I regret it. I plan to have it removed and replaced with a lighter tint.

I rode in the backseat of a new Tundra last week that had really dark tint on the rear windows, I felt like I was in a cave. I kept taking my glasses off, thinking I had on sunglasses...

As a cyclist/bike commuter, I don't like that I can't make eye contact with drivers that have dark tinted windows. I want to know that they see me, but more often than not it's a leap of faith as a lot of people have black-out tint nowadays.

I am having trouble driving the Tacoma at night but during the daytime it is ok. Also the eye contact is an issue at 4 way stop signs when the other person can't see me at all and doesn't want to proceed if we happen to stop at the same time.

After a 1000 mile trip to the mountains and back to see family and meet up with @theglobb, I needed to get some sand on the tires and between my toes. Took the troopy to visit the GA Kohler shipwreck. 10 days of big surf and onshore wind have made this the most exposed she has been in a very long time.

Curiosity had me looking up "Sav-on cafe" but looks to be closed for many years now. Must have been a good greasy spoon kind of place.
