Went camping and a bit of trailriding with some friends in Panama

The engine has the occasional squeaking noise that I originally diagnosed as a A/C idler pulley bearing, but then noticed the diesel engine was laboring to start especially when the engine was warm.
Yesterday the alternator started making a mild rumbling noise and found no voltage at the output stud.
I removed the alternator this morning and found the pulley wobbling on the shaft, but the shaft can be spun free and smooth independent of the pulley. I am guessing at the very least... the pulley will need to be replaced since the retaining nut is still tight.
The alternator appears to be the original or if it's a replacement; its very old.
Prior to my last trip to the PI a spare 80 A alternator was purchased and shipped here. Trying to locate a replacement alternator here in the PI would be extremely difficult and time consuming.
There is a difference between the orientation of the output studs and regulator/exciter connections, but it is workable.
All the lights are now brighter; amazing what another 1.6 V can do.....
I am going to see what I can do to repair the old one and keep it as a spare.

Did most of the things I needed to do, although I had to pick up my roof unpainted because of time restrictions on my painters side. Might paint it myself now when I get back.
Fitted rear wall and window (still needs detailing and rubber seal). The window is genuine Landcruiser UAE.
Also fitted some custom fat sliders and the front recovery points and extended breathers. Time to go wheeling 😁

I really like how that's turning out. Are you going to make interior panels for the sides of the cargo bay?

Yes. Going to get some aluminium pressed to match top profile and come down about 3 inches. Then seperate removable panel under that which will be removable like storage pockets.

I want to see more of this buildup. I'm curious about spare Tyre storage and such. Do I see a drawer platform?

Um, it's quite obvious that Australian vehicles are fitted with tyres.

We are forced to settle for tires. :crybaby:
