@JMasi.
The specific style for electric windows that I got are not pictured on their website so I imagine they make more options that what is shown on the website.
Link? I would offer to buy yours if you don’t want black but the rectangular hole forward of the armrest holes doesn’t match my setup.

Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series ABS Door Cards - Electric Window Models - 2 Door Model

This is what I got except what is pictured is without the lines. You have to ask them before ordering them. Shipping cost wasn't bad. It was like $25 AUD.

I am contacting them to see if they will correct this order and send grey as I requested. I can't imagine they want me to ship them back if they do decide to send me the correct color so I will sell them if that happens. We will see what they say.

Brought it home. 1993 HZJ-73 roller. It needs lots but I like a challenge. I have a 12h-t/H55 drivetrain sort of earmarked for it. She will have to sit for a while but I am definitely excited about it! Picked off the hauler and on my trailer with the big fork lift.

Very first mod, sort of. I couldnt stand those tiny car tires so I threw on a set of worn 33' toyo m/t tires and spare wheels so it is nicer to look at.

Hey after some advice or opinion, i need to clean up a few small spots on my chassis and repaint them. I am going to start with the towbar but I'm not sure what paint to use. I am after the stock colour, and a quality paint, that matches the stock colour preferably in a spray can. The cruiser in question is a 10/01 HDJ79. Thanks

I fitted a brand new set of 35" Silver stones, and gave my bead locks a lick of paint

Those tyres will never be that clean again

They look like a good improvement from my last tyres, 34" Simex Jungle trekkers

It took a little bit of yelling and swearing

For those of you who might not know, I’m down in Ecuador and I am missing the center console. I saw on Facebook Marketplace some local shop offering custom consoles for $50. So I went down and the old guy measured and measured and said come back in 3 days. The first test fit he didn’t account for the spaces between the bolsters of the seats so he had to cut it down and said come back in 2 days. I went by today assuming it was going to still be un-upholstered but found a finished product (uh oh). We squeezed it in and everything looked ok for 50 bucks. I paid the man and went to drive off only to find I couldn’t put the E brake down all the way 😂. I pointed out the problem and he said come back tomorrow. Every day is an adventure when you’re butchering the Spanish language.

Discovered my rear diff leaking and upon my inspection I discovered that the Toyota dealership removed / replaced the drain plug and fill plugs on both diffs, transmission / transfer case with a hammer and chisel. I normally do my own stuff but due to time / location etc. I took it to the dealer. I'm taking it back tomorrow. Yes, I am about to lose my s***. God only knows what else is buggard up.

Update: They contacted me back and said they will be sending me the grey ones. I am glad they are making this right. Awesome service and people to deal with.
Good to hear. I am considering these for my 60 I am building. Was going to make my own but time is definitely NOT on my side. That and I can't find grey ABS

At least with the 60, you can get the full set if I am not mistaken. I dealt with a guy named Luis so he would be the person to talk to.

I reclocked my turbo today... bad memory.. but thanks to the cruiserhead who made the comment a couple months ago on my oil return line.. you were correct!!! Took me a while to come up with the new design.. but thanks to you!!!!!!!

I need some help adjusting the spillback valve on my 2L-TE... I've read every post.. but they all start with "remove the cover with some pliers" so pliers in hand.. & not a nudge.. nothing.. can I hit it with a hammer?? a bigger hammer?? just afraid I'll muck it up..
reason for more fuel is my AFR ( air to fuel ratio) is displayed on my new ecm computer.. but i haven't messed with writing new codes while on the road.. at 2000rpm I'm getting 19.5 AFR@ 10psi boost. & at 3500 rpm it's 17.8 @ 17psi boost.. way to lean... target is 14.5 AFR..
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Hey Ebike, I responded to your other post about this too. I just used some heavy pliers to squish the top of the cap and pull up. It's fine to deform it, but definitely don't hammer on it!!

Now don't take any offense, but diesel AFR's are different than gas AFR's. This is super important. On a diesel, a richer AFR means hotter EGT's. A leaner AFR means cooler EGT's. I think your motor will be happiest and safest around 19-20AFR or leaner. You could run richer for short bursts. Definitely don't run 14.5 or you'll ruin your motor!!

Second thing, when you start tuning the spill control valve screw, turn in for more fuel and out for less. Do tiny bits at a time. DO NOT turn it in more than 3/4 turn total or the engine can go into run away. Rev the engine a bit with your hand on the throttle lever to make sure it does not hang or go into run away. If it does go into run away, just screw the spv screw back out until it stops.

GTR... thanks.. I've been worried of putting a heavy hand on the spillback cover... I'll follow your step by step tomorrow while I'm waiting for the charging system gods to smile on me.. been down since friday.. paying what I call a "fool tax" I bought a new battery in salt lake city & stupid me i set the battery backwards.. ugly puff of smoke.. now I'm paying my fool tax... can't find any up in smoke troubleshooting guide.. I've tore down the alternator, found and resolved a fried wire in the stator, adapted a set of brushes to replace the melted ones.. but I don't know how to check the alt. rectifier & voltage regulator. the closest shop is 60 miles:( got any ideas??
Cheers

You can use parts from a 1990 corolla alternator to rebuild yours (the parts all cross over). You'll have to go through all your fuses of course. I'd be most worried about the ECU! Hopefully it did not get fried! I'd say hold off on your tuning until you've got your electrical sorted out. One thing at a time.

Fitting up new wheels, Procomp 17x9, 3.5 BS. Still required a 3/16” spacer and some massaging of the caliper. PITA finding wheels IMO.

New tires are 33x12.50-17 Kanati Mud Hogs, closest thing to the old Goodyear MTR (my favorite tire of all time)
