Replaced a power window switch and got it ready for sale ... :(

Installed a slim lightbar on my LJ79. Bought it off ebay, quite impressed with it for the price. Fabricated some brackets to clamp it to the roof rack and got it all wired in. Also gave the car a much needed wash including the engine bay. Looks shiney shiney now

What did I do today? WHAT DID I DO TODAY?!?!
I found the squeak that has been driving me crazy for several weeks - that’s all!
OK, maybe not that big of a deal, but it made my day.

This was actually yesterday but I wired up new OEM horns, installed headlights and the grill. Also installed new plastic oem covers on all four doors. Man I dislike butyl tape! It’s like friggin anti seize!

Couldn’t decide where to put the door handle rod foam isolators but the oem plastic covers has holes for the rods so that kind of made the decision for me.

Cheers

Pulled the tranny/t-case. What a pain without tranny jack.

After a lot of cleaning it looks better. Still needs cleanup but for now it’s good enough

It appears the leak is coming out of the input seal. I haven’t pulled it yet as I ran out of time, but cleaning and tilting slightly showed me it was coming out of the input shaft. I have a feeling I put the seal in backwards.

When jacking up the truck to get the tranny to clear decided to check the wheel. Both wheel bearings were loose and wheels had some wobble. Tighten them up a little and good to go until I do the knuckle service.

I’m going to pick up the 85 BJ70 I bought in February to move it from Alberta to BC. Knowing the windshield is cracked I ordered a new one along with a bunch of weatherstripping and door seals.

Been hanging with these folks

So there is a groove worn into the input shaft at the seal on the H55f. Is there a double lip seal available or do you have to Speedi-sleeve that?

Like the front input of the trans? What motor do you have?

Yes, front spline going into clutch.

88 BJ74. There is a groove that I think is letting the oil out. For sure it’s leaking out of there. I can feel it with my fingers and when I took the seal out of that cover, you can see it rises and catches on the lip

Copy. I don't know of a double seal :(
