G'Day Fella's,

JFrench, I consider this to be one of the best color combinations, of all Mid Wheel Base TLC's.
The new wheels and tyres will set it off perfectly.

Avagreatweekendeh!

That's a great combo. Will look excellent.

I agree. It's your truck (and online reviews) that inspired the tire choice!

I was a spectator while @AlbertoSD changed the water pump, timing belt and belts on my HJ-73. Now I just have to figure out how to reset the T-belt warning light!
Thank you Alberto - you da man!

p.s. Charles did provide remote supervision.

Corrected it for you .......
p.s. Charles did provide "free" remote supervision.

G'Day Fella's,

I had notices a while back, that the two rear (vertical split) doors on my BJ73, were rubbing at the top where they meet.
I used a hydraulic trolley jack to just take the weight of the big door (with the spare tyre on it), via a piece of wood and some 1/8" rubber sheet.
I then marked the present border location of the lower hinge (on the body mounting side) with a marker pen.
I then loosened off the 3 hinge bolts on the body side of the hinge and pumped the jack up a little.
I then retightened the same three bolts and lowered the jack.
I now have a 3mm/1/8" gap at the top, between the two doors.

Homers a happy camper.

Doh!

To be honest and fair, Peter @peterb did a lot of the work on this.

I showed Peter the video below of Louis doing the timing belt and water pump in about 7-minutes:

So he felt confident that we could get it done in about 5-minutes instead :ban:

A lot of people are disappointed that we were drinking Heineken rather than Peter's signature beer, PBR.

All in all it went really well and glad it is done!
