Alright, it's been a few weeks since I bought the truck. Between a move, a promotion and subsequent departure (sitting at the office on my last day typing this)....I decided while waiting on a few items, I'd start a thread. The past 4.5 years or...

Call it whatever the hell you want to call it, it's yours. AND IT'S AN FJ55, so FJ is accurate. It's obviously not an FJ Cruiser. Good lord people, he's on our side. It's not like he's driving a Jeep...

Thank you for the update Matthew, I will continue to wait for the hinges. I think it would have been smart to make it clear on your webside last year that they were not available temporarily. Thank you for your service

Just wanted to share some photos the builder sent me this morning of the car. There is still a snag list of things to do but the car is around 99% done and I'm flying out this week to check it in person before they ship it over. The FJ is a...

Just a quick update, my FJ is nearly done, today was the first test drive and a few issues popped up but nothing major. The color is looking amazing though.

Just a quick update for anyone going through the same issue as me. I had my body shop paint a damaged fender they had in Nebula Green and once painted on a large panel the color looked a lot lighter than the small card sample. It looks like what...

All finished and initial torque settings done. Will check after a few weeks. Greased up and double checked everything. All in all, good experience but those pins…they are Satan’s spawn. Never want to do that again. Right now, 3” raise and...

What an experience. Never learned so much about this classic rig in my life. Really good experience, invited some friends, had a few beers, a lot of laughs, a competition who could remove the rear pin/fixed mounting the quickest (I won with the...

Well the massive pneumatic hammer didn’t budge this 43 year old hardware an inch. Just shocked. Ended up with the drilling pilot holes and then sprayed penetrating oil in the holes and letting it sit for a few minutes and then using the BFG to...

Yes. The PO had welded angle iron to mount the winch which made things easy. The problem was the fairlead. My crew fabbed up brackets for the fairlead. Worked out well!

Thank you all for the great expert tips - even the ‘put a wrench on it’ one! I’m happy to say the winner was soaking it with a penetrating oil and then using an easy out. Couldn’t have been easier. I hope one day I’ll have this kind of expertise...
