just got back from the PMC Petaluma swap meet. Super fun weekend!

Hey Owyhee,

Bring that canoe up to McCall! We can shuttle the Cabarton with our two Cruisers.

I'll message you next time I'm up that way. The 70 is 24V and I've not got it set up to plug my trailers into it yet. So I'm still using the 80 for rafting. What kind of boat do you have?

This is a few weeks ago at Howard's Plunge on the Cabarton. Borrowed the photo off a photographer's FB Page, hence the watermarks...

Sorry for the hijack.

In 70 news,

pulled the 14BT out of the donor 60:

When you get the 24V wiring for the trailer figured out please let me know! I have already steam coming out my ears drawing up the wiring diagram for my 74 with 24V and 12V sub-systems!

Why not just run 24v lights in your trailer? Or run the brake lights in series and do two blinkers on each side (mid-trailer and back) in series?

I am pretty sure all the trailer lights are LED, but I do not know if they are 24V compatible. The trailer is usually towed by the 100, but would like to be able to also tow it with the 74.

Hey @fireball, I've got my 24V 74 wired to tow a trailer and would be happy to provide you with specifics. Maybe not the most elegant way to do it and I think there are a few ways to do things but I have a Bluesea auxiliary fuse panel with constant and switched (using a 24V relay) 12V circuits with a 24V-12V step-down converter.

I bought a Redarc e-brake controller that works with 24V input from the truck with output to 12V trailer (Tow-Pro Elite Electric Brake Controller)

And as his been well documented here I did this:
Trailer Lights Logic Circuit & Step Down Voltage Converter

Let me know if I can provide any more info.

Technically it's what I did yesterday but drove back home to Denver from here:

Spent a few days camping up near Crested Butte on Paradise Divide. Ran Schofield Pass, Devil's Punchbowl and Lead King Basin. Scenery was unbelievable. Cruiser performed flawlessly. I spent about a month doing a bunch of primary maintenance and mods prepping for this trip and am happy to report all systems functioning well. Mod/build thread to follow...

I got the engine mounts out and the starter too.
Starter is now being rebuilt
I hope one day to be able to put stuff back onto my cruiser rather that the remove and refurbs I have been doing for a month.
