You can rejuvenate it by waxing it.

Finally started re-assembly of my spare H55f for my BJ74. Got stopped because I'll be buggered if I can find the 1st gear thrust washer locking pin.
Hopefully this should be a good thing once re-assembled, new 1-2 synchro hub, new synchros for 3, 4 and 5, new later-style 3-4 shift sleeve, marks 3.05 gears for the transfer case, rebuild kits through the gearbox and transfer, new bushes and shift shoes for the transfer linkage. Fingers crossed it all goes together okay, finally gets rid of the vacuum transfer so I can get a new dump pipe made inside the chassis rail.
Might try to get some pics tomorrow.
Oh, also while I was travelling for work, the better half got the rear TJM Pro-Locker™ installed, just need to sort out air tank mounting and all my dashboard wiring for all my various accessories.

Today was spent pulling the head of my yellow BJ74, had the symptoms of a blown headgasket and that was confirmed upon removal.
Next job is to clean up the mating surfaces and reassemble, I've got a few theories on the cause of the failure and all of them are the result of mistakes on my part. On the bright side, it all came apart quite well. Will be installing a new lower thermostat housing, new water pump, new viscous fan hub, new silicone joiners for the cross-over pipe, all new fasteners for the exhaust manifold and turbo, new (modified HDJ79) radiator.
Also attached are some pics of the gearbox and transfer rebuild mentioned above. Also found a moment today to spin up the output shaft in the lathe and linish it down to 40.000 (actually ended up around 39.995) for the needle roller conversion which is part of the marks kit.
