Figured id throw my fresh head on my old block.
Salted roads means its going to be parked a while anyway.
I suffer horribly from mission creep.
Going to replace motor mounts, clutch kit and re seal the oe trans and transfer that came with the 75. Current drive train is from a 77 no differences between the two other than the early 75 transfer having the lower low range(not that it matters in my case).

Not to add further mission creep but...While the transfer case is apart, you might want to tear it down and check your idler gear races. Maybe it's just me, but I've had terrible luck finding wear on the (machined) races in the idler gear. I've spoken to a couple of guys who replace the idler shaft and bearings everytime the case is out of the truck as a precaution since this seems to be a pretty common point of failure.
I'm ashamed to admit I'm on my third transfer case now in 5 years and the truck has never been off-road since I've owned it (and it has only been driven about 1000mi)! Granted, I bought it with a grenaded transfer case, but it's idler gear was in bad shape as well. The used unit I put in whined badly due to bad idler gear races. Since those races can't be replaced, I'm now on my third case.
On the flip side, if it isn't giving you issues, ignorance is bliss
