You are going to have to drill some holes in the fender to mount it. There's really no way around it.more details please on how the bracket is made and attached to the fender. what did you guys do to mount it?

Has anyone compared the Thermo Top C with the Thermo Top EVO 5 or 5+?
Dan
Here's the product data sheets for comparison purposes.
Thermo Top C (TSL-17): http://www.webasto.com/fileadmin/we...eet/usa-heavy-duty-datasheet-thermo-top-c.pdf
Thermo Top Evo: http://www.webasto.com/fileadmin/we...ystems/light-duty-thermo-top-evo-2012-eng.pdf
They look to put out about the same heat, and use the same amount of fuel, but the EVO line is physically smaller which is always nice. They seem to be priced similarly.

I didn't need a hole for my exhaust, I ran it down the fender covered in header wrap. The only hole I had to drill was for the exhaust and the bracket is rock solid. But, 3/4" x 1/8" flatplate, vice, hammer, welder, saw and a tape measure is all you need. The trick for the exhaust is to use a hole saw 1/8" larger in diameter and then fill the gap with FIPG after it has been bolted down. Stops water from getting in and vibration/rattling. The Toyota FIPG has held up for 4 years so far. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.

I did drill two holes to mount the bottom of the bracket to the fender, and then used an existing threaded hole on the side of the fender for an extra support.
I think I posted mine in this thread earlier. It's been working well for a couple years now.

Didn't take a lot of pics. These are the few that I have.Would you be able to post some shots detailing the bracket and where you ran your exhaust? How did you secure the exhaust routing?
Care to share your source? If you don't buy it, I willIjust found a brand new webasto TSL17 for 500$ Planing to use it for winter starting and hot shower/water in the summer.
Should I go for it? Is this a good model to use in a hdj81?
