I was parked next to some new POS GM crossover, earlier today, and the dude getting out said to me "How many problems have you had with your Rover? I just got rid of mine, since it was such a money pit." My reply was, "This is a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER, not a LAND ROVER." His response, "That's a piece of s***, Jap crap." Tempted to say more, but when I saw the Luger, SCOPE and NRA stickers on the rear quarter window, I backed off.

Had a drunk dude at the gas station key my “rice burner” 92. Because he “fought in Nam”. I thanked him for his service as he got on his motorcycle and drove away. Then called the police and followed until they pulled him over and arrested him.

Idiots like this that make me “black out” and get in trouble! *my friends say it scares the hell out of them.... they said my eyes just go “blank”, and there in a hurry to get me out of there, or away from the idiot! Thank god for good friends! They have saved my butt many times in 50 years!

Most dudes that have to say “I fought in Nam” or “I was in the Storm” most likely were rear echelon moths fudge suckles (REMF’s). Next time kick his bike over, and tell him to “fight this”.

Well I have to say with a giant Toyota decal the misconception might fade.
Holy crap this thread had a serious resurrection. I’m buying a cruiser soon and was looking up to see if anyone had wrapped it in the traditional livery. I’m definitely getting mine repainted white then adding the decals. Love it.

I just replaced a front fender on my 80 and the color difference because of 24 years of fading is insane. I pulled the flares off and am going to bedline where they were which should help tie it together.
