I am the one who has commissioned the 100/105 creation. It was a long thought out process to decide to do it. I wanted a 105 setup, but since they don't export them to the US, i decided to have one made. Since Slee had done one before, I had them do this one. I am planning on taking the rig to do the ACT2010 ( Alaska Cruiser Trek 2010). Since I am planning on driving the rig to alaska, why not do it in the comfort of a 100 Series. People have asked, why not just get an 80, well I have put a lot of money in to the 100 that I have, and I know it inside and out. And I did not want to start from scratch, so I took the leap and drove my 100 from Houston to Golden, and I hope to pick it up in March, 2010. I look at it this way, I may pay and arm and a leg for it, but I will have a very rare 100 in the US Cruiser Community.

That is great logic- you picked a great modification, a perfect fabricator and an envious trip!

it's looking exciting!

March 2010 is fast! To have a SAS done in a few months w/ holidays in-between? Awesome.

Dusty, Eric is referring to the CV axle shafts, not the driveshafts. 4" IFS lift is not going to happen. Someone has to cast knuckles or have them made from scratch. Not a cheap endeavor.

my bad

well if you did do ifs currie has the part now

that is a 9" set up for ifs applications. Shannon campbell ran one on the front of his ifs rock racer in the 2009 KOH. (he was disqualified but the the ifs 3rd did not break running hard on the Hammers)

how hard is it to install? Major fab work?

As long as your at it might as well adapt Hummer IFS portals and be done with it :D

Christo any new pictures for SAS?

ok, I wont leave ya hanging. All this goes in there, plus a motor mount after everything else has been shaved off.

This was last week, as Joe was finishing up a 80 motor and was getting ready to proceed on this project. I'll leave everything else to Christo.

Exciting stuff, will be following along :)

Updated pic. Axle located. Starting with fabrication of all mounts etc etc. Now the fun starts and one sees the progress.

christo, how much was that axle setup without the labor? and will you guys be using slee or ome springs in the front?

Mr. Slee, when are you starting production of the SAS kit for the 100 series? :)

I do not have the total on all the parts yet, but it is not cheap. Once I have all the prices I can total it. The diff with ARB and gears was about $3k. The housing is about $1k and that is bare without knuckles, axle shafts, birfields brake components etc. We also imported some 105 parts, that was not cheap either. I would not be surprised if the total for the axle is around $7k.

and will you guys be using slee or ome springs in the front?

We are still working on ride height, so exact springs are not determined yet.

I think slee could make a kit to remove the IFS and set up the front end to accept a axle, but as far as a entire kit. It would cost to much to have a kit that included axles and everything. It could be possible to some extent, but not a full kit
