haha... I'm thinking SAS-kit 2025 right when I'll be cruiserin' around with the antique DMV plates. :)

Updated pic. Axle located. Starting with fabrication of all mounts etc etc. Now the fun starts and one sees the progress.

Hey Christo,
Are they wheel spacers on there? Just wondering, if they are, then are they there simply due to clearance issues with keeping the IFS rims on the RFS?

if you could get a locked 80 axle and run spacers to make up for the width difference, would this be a good option for sas for a 100?

Sure as long as you wanted to carry two different wheel/tire spares ;).

one spare tire on the roof rack and one on the spare tire carrier lol

If you want to run 3-4" spacers, it might work. :D The axle width of the 100 and 80 is not even close. Also there is the wheel lug issues. Then there is the size of the 80 front diff. There are so many negatives on that, that it is not worth considering. This is not something you tackle to save money.

Will this SAS retain the ability to use ABS and ATRAC?

Im assuming it wont since blueberry didnt....

but 105 share the same axles .. and actually a mate swap 80 axles under he's 105 .. ( need wheel spacers sure coz the axles looks a bit narrow for the 105 body )

I'm jealous...SLEE what do you charge to do this?

Did the owner ship it from Texas?

careful with your words. He drove it out, and as the saying goes "if you have to ask you cant afford it". It's not for the faint of heart.

My bad on the Colorado misspelling... soo use to typing that to my Boulder buddy, as he refers to it as that. Didn't mean to offend anyone, I'll be more "careful" next time.

I was curious on pricing so I know for the near future when I do it.

I don't want to go into the pricing for this job here on the forum. The customer is also a forum member and I would rather keep that private. However we are working towards making this easier and cheaper to do. This time around we already have less time than the last one we did due to what we learned. I will have a better tally of the time when this one is done.

It is still an insane amount of time. Then there is the whole parts cost that can vary greatly depending on what is used.

wow hly sht! Good thing I wasnt there to take Ben & Joe for the usual long lunch breaks.

Tell me more :D

Actually one of the issues for us is to schedule the work. If we block off a week to dedicate to this, the all other work is on a standstill. Thus us the nature of a small shop. If we have 10 of these lined up outside, then we could expand to meet the need faster. Right now this is slotted in between other work, but we are on track to meet the deadline.

Thanks Slee for the quick reply... understandable. I'll be watching for the "easier and cheaper to do" . Also, curious on the front bumper shipping dates? Will it be able to be ordered off your site?
