.

That looks like a beauty! Love older Mercs. Actually built tough and didn't have too much fancy equipment to break down

a guy down in Orlando late 80s had a 2 year old jag 2dr v12 that he bought that had been repoed. motor no maint and blew, so owner quit making payments.

he pulled into steak and shake burning av gas, and hopped up 455 under the hood. first time I lusted over a jag.

good luck with the Merc, Stan

hey now. Appreciate the enablement but don’t distract fj40z from tha 3.4 5spd swap in the mini. He is a closet jag lover after all ;)

Jeebus. It’s like you knew about his green light for an RV. Hey @fj40z ;)

One day i'll get to my jag. v12 xjs with a t56 swapped in. If the V12 is running then i'd keep it... they are pretty dirt simple motors and there are stroker kits out there. The Lister Jag has always been one of my favs

If the motor is trash or I can only find cheap I6 jags then a ls swap would be in order. I drove my dad's xjs for about a year when I first moved to NC because the cruiser needed some repairs I didn't have the money for and the Jag was just sitting collecting dust.

I think you should go LT4 Stan . It's just money, right? ;)

I'd be happy to put one in a LC for you Ramon! It's just money right? :)

I am already at about $65-70K all in on the 380 build. That is more than enough on a shop spec build.

Man I wish that was true for you and me both! With one income only for a couple months now (thanks Covid), who knows when a "real" project will be in my future again. Grrrr

Keep the faith Ramon. If you told me a couple years ago that I'd be taking on a shop build like this 380 I'd have thought you were crazy. Yet here I am doing all the ground work for one of the largest business investments I have ever made. Odd thing is, I am not worried at all about it. Worst case scenario is have a really bad azz 380 I can't sell and have to keep :)

I have lived by this quote from Euripides for quite a while and it has served me well
"The wisest follow their own direction"
And this one from Nike
"Just Do It"

Perhaps they will work for you as well NIKE!

Wiring, yay. Trimming out old junk, and going to be adding new junk.

We too Babs out for a shake down cruise last night, she ran well. Fixed the AC this morning with a few other issues, still no radio :( Love this car!

It's an old car :) Limped it home Sat on a dying fuel pump. Great having an open vehicle again, last was a CJ7 when I lived in the Keys. Last Roadster was an Austin Healy Sprite back in 83.

Does boat building count here?

We have another week or two before everything freezes over again.
Thats why you can use Dunkin Donuts glaze to fill the seams, it will freeze in place and not let water in
