Not issues, per se.
But running the cable along the front makes tight turns without much space to mount the fuse holders and ACR.

After the changing the valve cover gasket's for a third time and not fixing the leak I dug a little deeper to find the true culprit. Brass plumbing fixtures for the oil pressure sending unit had cracked right at the base of the Coupler

Now to see if the sender still works running at a 90° angle

This set up made install much smoother. A Trail Gear cross member/ skid plate for dual cases literally slipped right in, great product.

Nice work Stan!

And some light wrenching on the 80 that involved new tools. Tough competition in tool and wrenching thread so here will do

The tailgate in the 80 has had a bow along the bottom inside edge for as long as ive owned it. Finally tired of working off and kneeling on the gate I picked up a 1/4" aluminum sheet from Onur off the raisin when i was getting the gas tank this april and this showed me just how off the panel was.

Made a simple pry tool to lift the low spots out of some angle and threaded rod and a fender washer i had on hand.
IMG_8791.JPG

And was able to get them decently equal. Where the new tool came into play. Finally found a rivnut gun locally after about giving up and installed 10-24 rivnuts in the existing holes (couldnt find camera for this but heres the tool).

And couldnt resist polishing up the panel a bit :grinpimp: I call it the whiring dirvish design to remind me of its origin and great history. Thanks again @beno

The "Hound" arrived at the shop yesterday. It will be receiving a crate LS3 6.2L Connect and Cruise package along with axle rebuilds, brake rebuild and a list of other items. Very nice truck both inside and out.

Gonna remove those two bottom bars above the rack/tray and put these casters on then we're about done with this round of mods :)

did they have any more of those map cabinets? I need a bunch of them.

Some dude on craigslist. Had that and a big metal lockable media cabinet.

He also had lots of furniture a very new fridge, and an 88 irokZ that he was very proud of.
Both cabinets $40 each. And he threw in the little card catalog thingy too.
