the pzj77 is a heavy duty model! lol .

the prado-70s don't have load capacity of the stiffer suspension in the LC70s and were officially classed light-duty by toyota.

lighter tranny, lighter rear diff, smaller dead beat engine = light duty.
lots of fun off road though...

i would have thought the same, but mine has leaf springs all round, factory lockers, ff rear axle, the hd nose, elec windows, sunroof, and other little electrical bits in line with the prados

yours is not a light duty LC, yours is classified as a HD unit.
only the KZ and LJ were light duty.
4 leafs - HD
4 coils - LD (7* series)
2 front coils, 2 rear leafs - HD

i was commenting on the LD versions.

I have owned a few PZJ77 (some very briefly) and i have no issue at all with the PZ engine. the R series tranny is ... in my view ... light duty though.

agreed, my R151 was dead on arrival, not impressed at all. I though that prado = light duty, but it seems not. it seems to refer to a trim level.

probably about Nov it might make it back into the shop.

On this thread, and on others, people right, left, and centre are CLAMMORING, no, ACHING, to see the troopie back and completed.
Give up the other builds and finish the troopie now! It is what the Cruiser Community wants, and probably you too. Give the people what they want!
