^^^ x2!

Sent from deep in the mountains of Honduras using only sticks and rocks.

Realy injoyed reading this story... One question, in holland we pay roadtax by the weight of the car... Any idee yet?

well, it seems that some parts were missed being completed.
the inner reinforcement panels for the water tank were started but not finished and set back out of sight, so they are now finished and off the powder coaters and MIGHT be back today.
then again might not be.

i can not do anything more till the tank is mounted, then i can lower the body onto the chassis and work from there.

i am finishing up a couple small jobs that have been sitting here for over a year waiting for the troopie to be finished.

sorry guys but that is the way it is hanging ...

oh, just a minute, i do have a couple pics:

the windshield being installed, silicone the outer edge.
insert windshield
wait for silicone to dry and easy to clean off

Crushers could you take some more pics of the undercarriage before you plant the body on it please?

of what exactly?

maybe 3 pics, one of the first third of the chassis, from the side,
middle section and then back section, all from the side. if you dont mind

The idea of having fuel near the back bumper has already been tried....it was called a Ford Pinto.:D

Wayne is that a PTO made for the back end or did you just relocate a winch from the front to the back?

I went through the thread and all I found where the the grease zirks for modification. Anything else you did to use it back there?

Edit: Found it. Great write up!

awesome thread mate I've just started reading it, I've only managed a few pages so far coz I'm on painfully slow dialup internet here and it crawls to a stop with photos, you may have already covered it in the thread but what did you do for a remote freespool on the rear mounted winch or will it just spool out under drive and are you doing a front winch as well or can the rear winch cable loop back up to the front

you pull this lever and it gives you free spooling for the rear winch.
the front winch is electric Warn 8274-50 ...
there will be synthetic rope for both winches in the near future.

Brad, as you probably seen. it isn't a direct bolt up, the winch itself is easy enough but the shafts, hangers, reversing the gear box is a bit more complicated.

thanks for reading the thread.
cheers
