Back together so far no leaks. Now on to roof rack.

Finished up the exhaust this morning. I have started a small rack idea up front. Need more room for junk. Going to try to come up with a way to store the spare tire upright inside cargo area as well.

Drove it today. Kind of weird not smelling exhaust going down the road. Hearing some new noises though. Got to do oil pan market next. Or somebody is anyway.

Effin judas iscariot! Fuel pump leaking and lower radiator hose leaking. Will have another pump tomorrow but got to source a radiator hose. Is there a gasket behind the fuel pump?

Other toyota cars use that same gasket, when I ordered my fuel pump somehow the gasket got lost in shipment had to go local. Matter of fact I might have the official toyota one at the house and you are welcome to it.

Changed the pump out. Pretty straight forward. Hesitation seems yo be gone as well. Must have been delivery issue.

And now something iS squealing under the hood:(

Think i found my vacuum leak. Looks like lower bolt at intake need to be tightened.

went to autozone and battery, alternator and starter all checked good. Of course as soon as she went back in the store click click. Autozone seems to think its just because its cold. I dunno...

What did your battery cold cranking amps (CCA) test at? Its possible for the battery to test good while not having enough amps to kick the starter over. Also check and see if all your connections (battery clamps, starter wires, charging wire, etc.) are tight and free of corrosion.

I've seen a no start issue from a Fed Ex truck before because the nut on the starter had backed off and had a loose connection. Also check that your negative cable has a good ground.

Likewise with batteries, we had a no start on a 5 ton truck at work all because the battery terminal was so loose that it didn't make any contact with the post.

If all that checks out I might suggest testing continuity (ohms) of your starter/ battery cables. There again I've had cables that look good until you peel back the insulation a little bit and voila! bunch o corrosion, or that the wire might be broken inside the insulation an it just isn't showing from the outside.

Bunch of stuff to take in but just a couple of thoughts from stuff that I've tripped over in the past. Good luck!

Don't know what it tested at. Drove it to work so we will see come 10:15. Don't go to bed early tonight Marshall..

That's ok i have your number too.

Looks like the starter. Tried to start a couple times now just click. Swapped batteries out of the van and same thing. All connections looks ok however this black plug rotates/moves. Starter is about 5 years old.

I'm curious about this one. It starts when someone jumps the truck off but, just clicks with a different battery.

What do your terminals look like?

Reason I ask is I had someone who had problems with there Mustang. Same thing wouldn't start just clicked, tried battery, no soup. Checked all connections at starter, good. He had one of those battery clamps where you sandwich the wires in. On the negative side there were about 6-8 wires all clamped in the one spot. The negative for the starter had slid out/wasn't making good contact with the terminal. If you clamped the jumper cables on it it worked like a champs w/o no soup.

It might still be the starter. IDK exactly. If you want a second set of eyes I'm only like 7 min away from Donaldson Ctr. (I work over there at the Army Reserve Center).

Does the same thing when i try to jump it. Would love a second set of eyes but i live in pickens.

For the heck of it i tried jumping it with the jetta. Car was running and still click. Checked the wiring under the clamps and heard the cylenoid click when i reattached them so that's good as well.

I think that black plug is the problem. The whole assembly rotates freely. I wonder if it has broken internally.
