Those cans look really high at first...BUT...that would let you use a large siphon and fill your tank extra quickly without even removing them. Plus...they're on your fill-side. Very cool.

Are the OEM brake/tailights obscured or just the camera angle?
you planning to paint the bumper to match or going black powder coat?
It holds gas, it holds water, it holds a spare, but wait there more it holds a yeti 35!
Can we see a side shot of that setup?
Looks good. Could you bend a metal strap to keep the cooler/gas cans from growing legs? Although I use a cable lock now that attaches to the cooler, through my gas can handles and through the attachment point on the hitch.

I've been thinking about can security too... Would like to find a way to secure the caps, so that they can't be easily siphoned...
Something I've learned over the years; if someone wants to jack your s***, they'll jack your s*** regardless of security measures. It's a balancing act between personal inconvenience of the owner and extreme security from degenerates.
In this case, I'll only have the tray installed and loaded up when I'm out on a trip. Otherwise, the right arm will pretty much be empty for tooling around town.
Are you rolling through Bosnia (any of those wacky Eastern Bloc countries) and/or Camden New Jersey often or something?
I can't think of a scenario where I'd have my cans loaded up, filled up, and unattended long enough for that to happen. Unless I'm camped and go for a hike, even then I usually have several thousand dollars in optical equipment in the rig they can bust a window and take. Or I'm passed out, ossified, drunk which is certainly within the realm of possibility.
No, but when on long road trips, or trips with wheeling on the other end...you make many stops for food, coffee, restroom, etc. Opportunists abound. If it only takes 3 seconds to steal?
I see your point.
I don't feel it's an issue for me, personally, when taking into consideration when I'd have the rack loaded and where I generally go. Worst case, I usually carry a grade 100 cargo chain (that I "found") in my recovery gear. Chain them up.

Ya, even a thick bicycle cable would be enough. Super quick & easy. Wouldn't stop guys siphoning, but I doubt many would do that.
I had $3K+ worth of stuff stolen out of my open garage door while I was in & out of the same garage. Good neighborhood...but one college kid driving down to see the nice view at the end of our street likely saw my bags...hopped out...hopped in and was GONE in about 12 seconds. All I needed to do was slow him down....but live and learn.
But back to the topic... THAT IS ONE SWEET BUILD YOU'RE DOING!!!!!!![]()
I was in Yellowstone last summer and came back to my truck to find someone had pulled the pin on my hitch haul.
I think I must have interrupted them because everything was still there.
I just don't want my cooler and gas cans to walk off
I sit in front of a computer and endure lots of meetings for my stuff, I'd like to keep it.
