Don't make fun of my rusty frame welds (and my dirty weathertec mat). That's a spring project :)

Sliders and skids look awesome.

Thanks, T

It was a rough morning..... Those frame welds aren't rusty.... that's just a light mid-west patina. Your 200 is probably the CLEANEST rig I've ever worked on.

I've gotten a few questions on the spacing from the slider to the body pinch weld.

Answer: ~5/8"

With all of the Fluid Film I blasted (so shiny) on there you probably didn't need oil to lube the tap :)

I have found that using your frame as a grab bar is NOT THE THING TO DO.. I've slipped off a few times and busted.... YES! I'VE CUSSED YOU A FEW TIMES!!!

Got all the measurements for now for the skid plates. I doubt these will be ready by the time I have to take the rig back. I may see if Tony will pick up the "samples" and fit them and report back. The owner of the laser cutter lives up by him and maybe I can get him to drop them off, meet or mail them.

They will be 16 gauge steel samples so pretty easy to mess with. Plus, simple to make corrections to holes with a file, here and there...

What's your plan to move the electrical plug for trailer into bumper?

Very clean! Will these gates be removable?

Depends on your definition of removable. The existential answer is everything is removable with enough willpower.

You'd have to pop off the oem bumper section and unbolt it to slide it up out if the spindle mount.
Ok - that what it looks like from the photo. I must have been thinking about someone else's bumper build thread - where one of the goals of the bumper was to allow for "easy" removal of the gates so the owner could remove the dual tire carriers and shave off some weight while running around town...

I can't wait to see this beauty all finished!!

Mine is setup in similar way. Remove plastic side molding and remove swing arms. It take about 20mins to half an hour to install them back on. I only install them before long off road trips and when I need to carry spare gas.

I'll probably just keep both mounted. But I won't roll around like the Jeep guys with jerry cans and full recovery gear hanging from my rig just for my drive to work :)
