Anyone know what the tie rod taper is for 1975 FJ40?
Hopefully it is either 7.15 degrees or 9.56 degrees.
My problem is that I just had my Mini truck steering arms welded shut and re-bored/Tapered (front disk conversion). But they don't fit my new stock FJ 40 tie rod ends - too tight, the thread shows through only as far as the cotter pin hole. I'm considering buying a tapered reamer to ease the holes but need to know the taper.
