Went to the Gunnison car show. Had some fun, brought a bunch of rigs.

I then went up to Overland Expo west with 2 rigs in the Nomad Wheels and Overland Journal / Expedition Portal booths. Had a great time, met some super cool people.

Back to tech I guess.

Aux radiator to help with overheating on a lot of grade / highway speeds.

Ducting for some airflow.

I figure some tig practice would be good.

Packed into the sliders, should get good, cold air and be about as efficent as possible.

I used 1" tees into both the upper and lower rad hoses for optimal added performance.

I'll have to go on some long passes to test it out I guess.

Where did you get the exchanger?

Love the thread here and progress. I am curious if you made your 40's bumper or where you got that? I have been looking for something for mine and love that bumper. I see several other people in your group has it, just curious if they are for sale and how much?

It's a bumper we make at the shop. We don't sell them unfortunately, we don't have the fab capacity.

Well that isn't what I wanted to hear... Oh well, nice setup!

Finally got around to my turn signals today.

I love drilling holes in fresh paint.

Test fit.

I also started on some center console designs. No steel, so that is waiting till next week.

Wood, fibreglass, upholstery?

I'm thinking steel, with sound deadning on the inside and matching liner on the outside, and painted top / rings. Its the material I know best, and I will probably bead roll some stuff into the sides. I have a random car center console lid that fits well between the seats to put in, and will have that reupholstered I think.

Went up to Ouray this weekend cause it's only an hour drive for me to go look at the fall colors.

Ran engineer over to Lake City and then some fs roads through arrowhead back to the shop.

I think I have my cooling system issues on the run, I'm sitting on thermostat pretty much all the time, but there has been a pretty big temperature differential since the last time i was driving a lot. We will have to see.

Anyways, pictures.

I guess a little life update for me, and reasons why I haven't been working on this rig too much.

I started a new build for SEMA BOTB Young Guns, a 1967 Stout.

It's currently mostly in cad land, but I've started on the primaires for the cage. It's going to get a turbo 1UZ, 8hp70, and a whole bunch of custom stuff lol. Hopefully done in 2 years, but we'll see.

I also got a new box for the shop, so that is nice.

Awesome tube design. Do you have a local connection that can use your CAD file to cut and etch bend markings into the tube?

Looks like a great project DJ !!

No, I'm doing it all by hand. Lots of fun lol.

Is the cat available at harbor freight, or snapon? Lol. Hope you enjoy your new box. I would have to make the stout a extra cab, standard cabs are pretty small on a stout and I hate being cramped. I've seen a v6 stout but never a v8. I'm curious how it will fit.

The floors and firewalls are gone, and below the rear window is streched 4" back so far. I might strech the top, we'll see though. I'm hoping moving the floor pans will make a big difference.

The 1uz packs in from the scans very well, you just stick the radiator in the back. Should fit well, fingers crossed.
