I'll bet you are!! Enjoy it!!

But, I have a question... where will you carry your spare engine, once you finish rebuilding it? :hmm:

Good question! I guess it won't fit in my glove box, will it? ;)

Nor will I put on the Top Shelf with my de-smog goodie box....

...there that hose is.....

This should work well for your extra engine

Just wheel the engine in an unused corner of your basement garage until you're ready to work on it.

I love this stand. I can turn it myself. It has safely held my 2f since 1/14. Maybe if it is going to be a long term storage solution, modify it to support the front of the block on the engine mount holes and you can sleep safely.

After a few days of running my new 2F, I noticed the antifreeze looked a little discolored. I venture a guess that I loosened up all the fine rust sediment from the engine block prep from the rebuild....Here are some photos.

With a good system flush yesterday, and running several cycles of H2O thru it.....Here is what it looks like this morning.

Turned a rusty "Brown Eye" into a Prestone 50/50 "Green Eye"! :hillbilly:

rusty "Brown Eye"

Now normally, I'd be on these lil' tidbits ^ like a fat kid on a sugar cookie.....;) Just say'en..

Your TLC is looking great!!! Liked your comments REF: GAA /ACC. Scratch'en my fuzzy chin and casting an inquisitive glance southward..

Yep, I was going to throw the "PUN" about me being "anal" when it comes to my rig's maintenance, in there as well. But I took the different road, you see.....Thus, I'll digress.

Now I'm off to a local meeting, so I'll be in my 40!

Just say'en....I could have gone with Toyota's antifreeze. It's sort of pink you know.....:flush:

With the kidd'os out for the evening, the :princess: and I had a date night. We cruised around in the 40 and then out to dinner! Her comment, "Dang, it doesn't smell like an OLD MAN in here any more....NICE!" And that was with the A/C kick'n out the cubes. Maybe she is warming up to possibly being seen in it more often? :hillbilly:

As we were leaving the eating establishment, there are a few couples standing near my rig. When we jumped in, they asked, "Where are you taking my truck?" My retort, "The Woods!....(with a snicker)" :steer:

Lol..My TLC has it's own "particular bouquet" too.

I was thinking about bottling and marketing my smell... in a bottle like Old Spice, but labeled Old Man... just a dab behind each ear and you will have old dogs following you everywhere.

Less than 200 miles on a supposedly new old stock Aisin Water Pump......I will be replacing it here soon. Made a mess of my new engine and cleaned up engine bay. I guess I bought a pig-n-a-poke on the water pump?

Wondering why you opted for a NOS instead of picking up a new one?

My '77 doesn't have the oil cooler and I wanted an OEM part. Found this one that has crapped out............and now wish I hadn't! Such is life. I'll buy a new OEM unit with the oil cooler (ones without the oil cooler are discontinued) and cap it, I guess. I'm trying to figure this out what to do without posting another water pump thread.

More research....I'm working on it.
