I just used CLR rust remover to clean clamps, nuts and bolts but maybe the stuff you used would do a better job... did you rig anything to agitate the solution?

Nope, just a good soak over night did the trick. I actually bought the Evaporust for removing rust on a bracket and some bolts. After reading it was safe on most items, I decided to give the switches a try. They turn out nice. But I also read that the "de-rusted" items can flash rust very quickly so I wiped the pieces down with alcohol, then with the WD-40. For storage, I'll coat them with a light covering of oil.

Yep, used a small bucket that could hold the swithes, then poured it back into the original jug after I was done.

Next time I'm in a Goodwill store, I'm picking up a $1.00 colander or strainer. That way, I can throw all my rusty nuts and bolts in it, and then submerge it in the bucket with Evapo-Rust.....Matter of fact, I'm going to head there now, pick's at 6.

Yah i found a 2.5gal bucket of it but it was $60 seemed kinda pricey so i just bought the small jug for $25. I was reading it said once you pull the parts out you can miss more of the product over top once dry to keep it from that flash rust.

A minor interior upgrade. Installed a new rear mat, and it is an actual Toyota product.

Alrighty, here ya go. It took me a while to find this mat, as it has been a long discontinued part. I called and called and called, with no sales person finding one. So I gave up for a while, then on a whim, I called another distributor on the west coast about the part. They said they had two. I asked if they could verify if it had the Toyota Logo, and it did. He said there were only 12 in the USA at that time. So I bought 8 of the units this past Summer. Part number for the Toyota Tundra truck bed mat is PT580-34990......What am I going to do with the other 7 mats? I'll cut some down for runners in the hallway of my office, and use some for rubber mats in my basement.

Oh, my daughter wants one cut for the rear of her '14 FJC. And that reminds me, Wife's 4-Runner's lease came due a few weeks ago, and the below just happen to be traded in about an hour before. It is a '14 FJC, with all the bells and whistles, only 19K miles. Had to have it, got a smoking deal on it, so I bought it!!!

Loaded with the part number PT580-34990, call you local Toyota parts supplier....tell them to check their Kentucky Warehouse.

Note, I actually called the Warehouse and verified they had a few. I asked if I could buy directly from them, but that was a big fat "NO"! They don't have a sales counter at the warehouse, and was told to call my local Dealer. Even my local dealer said there was not any in the US, but when I told them to check the Kentucky warehouse, there they were.....so, should you inquire about the bed mat PT580-34990, they have to check the Kentucky warehouse, that is what I was told.

Rick hendrick Toyota strikes again. They refuse to even look in the Kentucky warehouse. They will only source parts from Jacksonville Fla. Or Torrence, CA
Last straw for me with RH. They have yet to be willing to help me on any part I needed and have actually laughed when I shared the part#s and source for other items

Brother, drop them like a bad habit. However, I initally got the same info about there being none available, and Jacksonville is where the local dealer gets their parts. Call South Atlanta Toyota and ask for Kyle Edwards, but ask him to call the Kentucky warehouse. He sourced four of mine for me.
