Ok, here's my dreaded "whats it worth page" reason I'm asking is I have an opportunity for another cruiser project that could put me where I'd love to be in cruisers. No, not a turbo diesel 70 series...but still 55 based....;)

So I'm wondering what you think i'd be able to get out of mine to pursue this other venue. And by no means am I being forced to sell and won't if the price isn't something I'm comfortable with.

here goes.

1976 FJ55

78 2F Rebuilt ~12,000 miles ago, very clean no leaks
Marks Off-road Carb
4" Alcan Lift, 200lbs over stock weight up front, 300lbs over stock weight rear
Longer shackles
35" BFG M/T's KM's less than 5K miles
1 Brand New BFG mud older style never run 35"
5 15 X 8 Eagle 589 Aluminum Wheels
Warn 5687 currnetly no cable, the old one turned into spaghetti
Custom Bumpers front and rear
Sliders attached to frame, made out of 2X2" tube
Snorkle, "The Home Depot" special
ARB Compressor
Front and Rear ARB lockers
4 Wheel Disc Brakes on 1978 Axles
Greasable Pins
Optima Red Top battery
Painless waterproof 7 fuse addition
6" KC HighLighters
Doestch Tech Shocks DT8000 rear shock, DT3000 fronts
Hi-Lift Jack
Autometer Tach
Aqualu Double Arm
Old Man Emu stabilizer
Stainless Brake Lines
D shackle tow points
6 to 1 header

Recent new parts:
New OEM clutch less than 3K miles
New OEM waterpump, less than 2K miles
Brand new AE 589 spare rim

This cruiser runs excellent, always starts and rides extremely well. A full running Megasquirt EFI setup could also be included in the sale. Has factory A/C and 3 pulley harmonic balancer, but compressor is poo. rear window works.

The attention stuff...(i'm gonna be picky and super anal about this...)
Brakes, master is starting to go, still full pedal 95% of the time, a new Aisin FJ80 master is coming so could be a moot point
Choke cable doesn't work, haven't needed it either but something to mention
No smog stuff....(could be a prob for potential buyers)

RUST: has typical lower fender rust, a small hole that has been POR15'd in the drivers front floorboard. Has some bondo on the passenger rear door/window well that I have been knocking off... Passenger rear quarter is dented, crinkled, but I do have a clean quarter panel if wanted to graft one in.

A few rockrash/scrapes here and there, rattle can paint job.

The strange:
1 aisin hub, 1 warn hub....I need to get the other Aisin
Relay rod rubbing on Shock...typical with larger lifts on pigs
Has a newer door, you'd have to re-key...wife smashed my other one
frame after rear shock mounts has been cut and replaced with c-channel/integrated rear bumper/sliders. Also different gas tank....don't ask me why this happened...but is pretty damn stout.

pics...not that you haven't seen it...

lol...how much beer does that include???

Yeah I'm interested to see, I know the time of year prolly isn't the best...but what better way to tell your wife & family merry X-mas than with a pig???

Pearls & swines right?

Just looking for reasonable prices on what it should sell at and be fair to both parties.

Something about this statement reminds me of Amsterdan red light districts??? anyways...

good question...just needs to be realistic with my life at the moment. If it can't sell for what I want, then by no means will I sell it. It still has many plans in the works.

maybe i just missed it...
stock tcase?
411, 373 or lower gears?
Tim

Hi All:

Nice FJ55 Ben!

Of course, supply and demand claims you will only be able to sell it for what the market will bear, but I say it is worth at least $7K!

It is always a touchy subject on the worth of a "cult" vehicle; it really depends upon what the buyer feels is more important; "clean original" versus "upgrades" versus "restoration."

I personally hope you hold on to this rig; you apparently have some affection and ideas in mind for it!

Regards,

Alan
