I've had a few different Fj60's over the years but this one will be extra special.

I just finished the wooden interior set, a long list of other things I'll make down the road but I've got a good start. If I could do it differently, which I will, it's probably the choice of woods. I'll be going with a really dark brown leather in my '83 with some sort of accent in the mix. I think I should've went all solid woods, maybe got rid of the two lines in the center console top... The grab bars and door rests have hickory inlays just to beef up the stock, I don't think I'll break those.
Anyhow, I just wanted to stop in and see what you all thought, I always thought these would make perfect candidates for wooden options. I'll post more down the line.

How did you do the cluster face?

Everything was done on a homemade platform

Very impressive.

Thanks, I just finished today and I'm in the process of doing the same to the dash pad. I kinda want to start all over and use a darker wood, little hints on inlays but I think this was too much. One thing that won't work, are the door cups. Way too thin.

Impressive. Im afraid to ask what you would charge, and sadly i have a blue interior

There's many choices of woods and stains. Ebony, grey or natural, lighter wood would probably work best. I've got more things to make for these and others so it's not so broken up. Better question, what would someone pay...? Shoot a number out, like I said, I might make a different set for mine.

Incredible work!

I don't know what a fair price would be but you should equate that from your end. Cost of materials, supplies, time spent, etc.

dang that looks pretty amazing! I'm not sure if it's for me, but if I were to fully kit out the interior with new carpets, leather seats, etc, I think it would go really well. I've always kinda liked the "wood" accents in my LX450 and other vehicles. 60 just seems a little too stone aged for that kind of interior, but maybe it would work! Reminds my a little bit of my buddy's old xj6 vanden plas, or his 260z with a wooden steering wheel

beautiful.

bezel without question...mine's busted and tough to find a good replacement. Gauge cluster is pretty cool, I'd go for that as well.

Well done. I would rock the dash components, but not the console lid with the strips. I think a darker wood for the armrests and grab handles would look better IMO. With that said, these look great!

Very nice work - I particularly like the instrument cluster. I would not install these in my vehicle because I have been scarred for life by the wood interiors in 'Choo Choo customs' vehicles like Suburbans and Broncos. Conversion van interiors make me ill....

when will the fj62 version be on the market?

Steering wheel center, dash pad and much more can be made. All smaller pieces might give me problems like the door cups, unless I bulk it up some, which I think can be done.

that is awesome! No way I pay what it's worth but I think some people would, maybe if you did a woody styled 60 with the fake wood panel running down the side. You should try the 40 style pull knobs, I think that would be cool.
