Did I contact the right Cruiser World - for the visors, he quoted me

Your oversea’s price is 235.00 euros

Shipping to the US will cost 121.65 euros

That is definitely substantially more than I paid. Not sure why the pricing went up so much. I would encourage you to contact your preferred parts supplier for these. Looks like these came from 1990-2000 70 series. Also, when looking up the part numbers, it shows the mounting hardware included! So there is that potential bonus. :)

I recently got a set of Toyota beige sun visors from Maarten at CruiserWorld. I'll post up photos and the part numbers a little later. I think they are from a 70 series. Perfect fit in the 60 series and great color match (tan).

As you can see, they fit perfectly. I am very happy. I reused the mounting hardware.

Just to confirm...these "70 Series" sun visors are a bolt in to your FJ60 ? I need to do somethign with my old sun visors....like throw them in the trash.

They fit with no issues at all and the color is a perfect match. I reused the mounting brackets from my fj62 because my visors didn't come with them. So I am unsure if the 70 series mounting bracket works. If not just swap them for your 60 series ones and you are good to go.

Did you switch out the "arms" from your 60 visors?

So, I ordered the 70-Series visors. So far, they look awesome. However, they do not sit right. Am I missing something?

Yeah mine didn't come with the arms for whatever reason so I used the original 60 arms

Mine came with arms. Hmmm ... ???
Swap them and see if they fit better. It's a super fast swap. I am starting think Maarten didn't include the arms for this reason, just use the 60 arms.

Sounds like a job for Saturday !!

@Beams37

Does the visor flip up with the 70 arm and stay in the clip end?

They are a little off. I am going to do 2 things today. First I am going to swap out the arm for a 60-series arm and see how that looks. Then, I am also going to try and bend the arms a little to get them to sit right.

I'll be posting results and better pictures later today.

Ok ... So I have had several requests. I wanted to provide a comprehensive (as possible) write up.

60 vs 70 Visor Arm Comparison: You can see the angles are off just enough to not sit right. 60 on top and 70 on bottom.

Some people may not have existing 60-series arms, so I wanted to see if there was a way to make the 70 arms work. Outside of bending them, which could be accomplished if removed from the visor (as shown) and add a little heat. You could also install with one screw on the 70 series arm, as shown below. I think this would drive most crazy, as it would bounce around a bit.

For obvious reasons, I opted to swap out my 60-series arms. PRO TIP: Do NOT take out the 70 series adjustment screw completely. It is a bugger to get back in properly. It only needs to be loosened and the arm will slide out. BE AWARE: It is coated with a bit of grease and it could ruin your brand-new visor if you're not careful. I used a little bit of the grease I wiped off to lube the 60-series arm. It was tight fit, but with a little persuasion, it will slide right in. PRO TIP: Install the arms first on the roof and then slide the visor on. I did one like that and one with the arm installed on the visor prior to connecting to the roof. Neither was complicated, but putting the arm in place on the roof was simpler.

All in all, this is a  job.

I'm not sure how big my post can be so, I will continue this in another post.

Continued ...

Several have asked about color. So, I took few shots. Given the fact that most of our headliners are different color (due to years of different dirt and grime build up) I think they look really great.

And for my final trick !! I will answer the question, "Where did you get these?"

I ordered them from PartSouq.com (not a typo). They are based in the United Arab Emirates. I was a little nervous at first, but they were easy to deal with, priced right (for me), and were original Toyota parts as advertised.

Part Numbers:
- 74310-90K10-08
- 74320-60290-A0

Total cost was out $106.71, included FedEx shipping to Memphis, TN. Arrived in 3 days and had tracking the whole way.

Cheers !!

Excellent!! Definitely a great replacement for the old OE 60 visors. I think the color is spot on (even with the dirt throwing off the shade a little).

Agreed. I'm glad you found these !!
