I think @KLF meant "crack open the KDSS valves". A search on KDSS will explain why this is a good item to check.
You are correct, I got the acronyms confused. Fixed. Thanks for the correction.

Is there any ignition only +12v wire in the rear of a 2013 LX570? Planning my rear power setup and having a ignition only +12v would be useful for a few things. If not will just run an ignition wire from the front to rear.

Anybody attempted the NAV update on the 2013 - 2015 LC? This looks like the right one and a good price, but not sure about the seller. Thoughts?

I taped the 12v hot that the 3rd row seats gets its power from. There is an ignition wire in that harness so I hooked them up to a relay that only gives my cigarette port power when the ignition is on. I’m just trying to find the fuse for that hot wire so I can figure out how much amps I can pull from it.

Under the steering wheel on that black horizontal trim. @eskimoke . By your knees, near the obdii port

Ok I want to run some wire and hose from the engine bay to the rear bumper. I plan on wrapping everything up in one bundle in split loom. The problem is that I am having a hard time finding a reasonably easy path underneath. I'd prefer not to have to remove the AHC sliders, but otherwise it looks like trying to run behind heat shields down the middle third is going to be a nightmare with a bundle cable-tied in split loom.

Am I missing an obvious path? Has anyone done this that may have some pics that might be of help?

Try the right side. It wasn’t too bad once out of the engine bay. I put 1” split loom over a 5/8” heater hose for the charcoal canister relo on that side.
Another option is to use the right side interior conduit. It has a lot of space in it.

OK, i'll take a stab at the SQOD: how do you send a PM to another member?

Tap on their screen name in yellow (so Markuson for me)...then tap on “Start Conversation.”

To access past convos, tap the little Envelope icon.

Or... To start a convo with someone whose name isnr there to click...yap envelop, and choose start conversation. Then start typing screen name...which will try to aito-complete.

What is the correct size socket for the lugs? I spent a bunch of time googling earlier, and even went to check the unlabeled wrench in my car kit. I tested a few and the 22mm is the only one I could get to fit. Is that the right size? I just picked up a torque wrench so I can switch from ugga duggas to actual numbers, and I need to buy a socket to keep in the truck. Am I overthinking this?

22mm is what fit my 2013 LC stock lugnuts.

is this special service tool meant to read 2 digit dtc from the odbii just a lightbulb on two wires?

Almost - it's a jumper wire but no light on it (unless they had a product upgrade since my Tacoma days).

So where is the two digit DTC read? on the MID? a flashing pattern of the orange triangle light?

I haven't tried to use one on a land cruiser so not sure how the info gets displayed.

I would have to know what you were trying to check. As an example for checking transmission fluid levels a temperature check is called for. In which case the following applies before checking the fluid level:

  1. Connect terminals between CG (4) and TC (13) of the DLC3 using SST (09843-18040).
  2. Move the shift lever back and forth between N and D at 1.5 seconds interval for six seconds.
  3. The D shift indicator on the combination meter comes on for two seconds. This indicates that the fluid temperature check mode has been started.
  4. The D shift indicator comes on again when the fluid temperature reaches 46 C (115 F) and blinks when it exceeds 56 C (130 F).
  5. Allow the engine to idle until the fluid temperature reaches 46 C (115 F).
And in my copy of the FSM, if checking the steering (maybe zero point calibration?) the info shows up in the multi-information display. And he's a thread on that topic for a 2013 model.

Let me know if you need any sections of the FSM - but I only have data for the 2016-20 models.
