Try Specialty Stripping in North Hampton, NH. Google says it is permanently closed, but a friend used them as few months ago. I had them blast a frame way back in 2013 and they did a great job, very reasonable. Tristen, the woman that runs the...
I'll play.
This is our Saint Bernard "Fulton", he'll be 4 in Sept. I have never seen a dog that loves to play in snow as much as him.
He's about 130 lbs, mostly hair I think. He sure leaves enough of it around the house! He also loves to go...
I wouldn't pull on the trailer connector hole either, it will deform. Maybe tack weld a hook plate at the best spot, then come-a-long connected to the rear axle or frame.
Honestly... this is exactly what THEY wanted to happen. They'd rather keep doing the easy stuff, changing oil on Corollas and Camrys, selling tires and batteries, etc, then deal with a fussy customer with a niche vehicle that they are not...
Mine also is stretched in length, no longer fits the hooks. I blamed it on the NHOU oiling on the hood that is still dripping out 2 years later. Doesn't seem to be the case for you though.
Geez I haven't talked to Mike in a long time, no idea what he's up to.
I had dinner with Bud back in early 2020, I was on a 3 week road trip and stopped by his shop to get some sliders and skids installed. I also have a set of his SS cat guards...
Kev:
Highly recommend the Diode Dynamics "SmartTap" flasher upgrade, especially if you ever do any highway driving. Then you can also swap out your turn signal bulbs for LEDs and won't have the hyper flashing...
It may no longer be the case, but I remember asking my agent (State Farm) many years ago about this very thing and I was told that as long as you are not participating in a competitive event, you're covered.
I'm looking for the number for the squishy rubber gasket/weatherstrip piece that sits on the plastic radiator cover, just behind the front edge of the hood. For some reason mine has expanded and no longer fits in the clips, I think it's the oil...
I've searched but I can't find it.
I've crossed over the 100K point, so I know it's time to do a refresh on the engine: radiator, water pump, idler/tensioner, serp belt, etc. I'm looking for the list of parts (part #s would even be better) of...
Proof that cars are a terrible investment.
$20K invested in the stock market would earn about 8% average, and at 27 years it would be worth ~$160K. He's probably spent quite a bit on maintenance on the car since new as well, which makes it even...
I totally agree that this sounds like a poor/intermittent battery connection. The system reboot in your previous post is what happens when the battery has been reconnected, so that's a dead giveaway that it's a battery issue.
I have the same...
I've replaced every bulb possible with LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs.com. Probably 30% of the time now when I get out of the truck and try to lock the doors by pushing on any of the little buttons on the doors, nothing happens. Doesn't matter which...
Ha I haven't seen or heard from Karl for at least 15 years. Last I knew he was working on installing a Supra engine in that white 4Runner, but no Idea if he ever got it done.
I also wonder where Charlie Horn is these days.
Welcome to the white...

I am sick of the cheap LEDs I bought from SuperBright interfering with the remote locking/unlocking, so I'd like to purchase a kit from you, assuming it fixes the problem. I searched here and don't see a direct...
No you shouldn't do this.
I'm assuming you have a 20A fuse on the circuit. Now consider the situation where there is a fault to ground on the 3rd light wire which is much smaller, let's say a 16 ga. The problem is that your protection on that...
