Anyone know where I can get this little piece of roof rack molding, or have a part # so I can order one? Passenger side btw

Anyone know how these go missing?? Strong wind? Drive thru car wash? Never thought about them before, but just checked and see that nearly every other one is missing on my 2013

SQOD - I purchased the 2 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage emblems for my 200 series, Does anyone know the exact dimensions to fit them on the rear panels to match the LC Heritage models?

Usually the car wash it the culprit. I’m guessing that’s where mine went.

My factory spare has been sitting in the rear cargo area for well over a month. Today I went to remove it and clean out the rear mat and I noticed a condensation buildup between the tire and the weather tech mat. Any idea what caused this? No water dripping from the roof

I have a feeling this might be a physics temperature humidity magic trick. Austin TX went from 60-70s dry and pleasant to raining and 30s in a matter of 48 hours. Anyone smarter than me have a reasonable explanation on the cause?

Not real good reference but there is a horizontal crease in the body ending at the upper part of the taillight. The top of the TOYOTA letter is 9.5” above that crease.
The edge of the emblem is 3/4” back from the rounded corner of the side glass. Both side emblems are like that. Hope this helps.

Do you live somewhere cold?

Manual shift lock release cover.

Here’s my SQOD: what the heck is this for on the shifter housing?

Stick your key in there to release the shift lever when the vehicle is off. Sometimes it's in the way for a stereo or other installation when you need to remove some of the plastic covers.

What is the white square on the back side (i.e. the front) of the rear view mirror?

It looks like it may be a sensor, but shouldn't be the auto-dimming sensor (that faces the rear of the car) or the one that turns on the headlights when they are in auto (that sits in front of the middle speaker on the dash).

It want to put a dash cam in front of it and want to figure out what I'm interfering with before I attach the sticky tape!

If it's a small box stuck to the windshield, that is the sensor for the auto wipers.

No, it is part of the rear view mirror (and my 2008 doesn't have auto wipers).

I'll try to take a picture of it later.

Both the sensors are part of the auto dimming feature. The system compares light in front vs light from rear...

I know there's a thread on here about the process for installing the strut spacer. Cousin is having the dealership tell him they need to disassemble the strut to install the spacer, and I thought all it was was taking out the front strut and putting the spacer on top, not actually disassembling the shock and coil.

If someone could link the thread that they did this, I believe @TeCKis300 has done this correct? I looked at the FSM but didn't see the process for it in there (probably looking in the wrong area).

You are correct, the spacer goes on top of the strut mount. You do not need to take the spring off the strut. It slides over the mounting studs.

Yes to what @CharlieS says. Don't need to disassemble the coilover. Other than it has to be removed from the top mount of the chassis.

Not sure if your Cousin is installing this on an LX or LC. LX has the added hydraulic line at the top that needs to be disconnected but the install is otherwise the same.

More details here

The dealer is WRONG. There is no disassembly of the strut required. You are correct, all they need to do is drop the strut/spring out of the bucket, drop the spacers on the studs, then put it back together. I have them on my LC, and observed/pretended to help @Taco2Cruiser install them at BudBuilt right about a year ago. He's done many of them.

Thank you @CharlieS @TeCKis300 @KLF
I've got them on mine and didn’t remember that needing to be done. I think the the thread you've provided TeCK is enough for me to have my cousin give his dealership to do the job correctly and not screw him. Otherwise I was going to take snips from the FSM for him.
