Best practice is to get a fifth matching wheel/tire.
Less hassle and less to worry about if you go on any long drives (road trips), why worry about finding a tire shop to fix / replace a tire within a few miles of a flat tire due to you not having a matching spare?
If you off-road, it is absolutely good practice to have a matching spare tire/wheel.
I wasn’t suggesting it would be a long term solution but instead a means to get to a repair shop driving at moderate speeds. I can’t imagine an inch difference in sidewall height would have any impact for a few miles but of course if that’s what the owners manual states then by all means that’s what one should do.
What about a patch kit first then resort to the temp doughnut?
IMHO, a temp doughnut/space saving/different-sized spare is never a good idea for a LC200.
If cost is an overriding concern for a fifth matching tire as your spare, then research a different sized tire (usually narrower), that has the requisite Load Limit specs, on either your existing spare wheel or an inexpensive take-off wheel.
There is no problem using an 18" spare wheel with four 17" mounted wheels, as long as the overall diameter of all five wheel/tire combos are the same.
Of course, best practice is to have all 5 tires and wheels the same and do five-tire rotations.

Once upon a time I had 285/70R17s on Rock Warriors and was looking at Aux tanks. Knowing the 13-gal options require lowering the spare tire somewhat, I was also looking into which tires I could run on a narrower Tundra wheel to reduce impact on ground clearance while keeping an acceptably similar diameter.
I had a lot of trouble finding a good option.. and IIRC the best fit was prohibitively expensive. It just made sense to get a fifth RW and identical tire to gain the benefits of 5-tire rotations.
I will say though.. our under-body spare tire mounting options do frequently damage the wheel from contact with the rubber bumpers. I'd absolutely take further precautions to space the wheel itself downward slightly if it was a wheel I cared about.
This is my big hang up compared to driving a few miles to repair shop for not doing a 5th spare, damage to the wheel. I completely get the increased longevity of 5th wheel rotation, what that actually translates into not sure, but every rotation a wheel may get banged up underneath. Yes these trucks are meant for off-road but I still try to prevent unnecessary damage. So what options exist to protect spare underneath?
The non-cosmetic side of the wheel being pointed down and the tire sidewall protruding a good bit further than that seems to prevent actual damage to the wheel. Other people get on harder trails than I do but while I have dragged the spare a number of times (though less than you'd think), I have yet to damage the tire or wheel in those situations. The damage I was referring to was from IMO poor design of the rubber isolators on the spare tire crossmember.. and this damage is going to happen with any movement of the vehicle. Meaning more of it is done on-road than off, given the reality of how most of us use our 200s.
5-tire rotations have an advantage beyond extending the useful life of the tire set by 20%. If you're halfway through your tread life and get a flat that can't be repaired, you still have four tires with even treadwear that you can use for the rest of their life. Instead of sticking a tire in that has full-depth tread, which will be the odd one out, and when you replace the others, will already be half worn. In the event of an unrepairable flat, replace the damaged tire with a new one, keep that wheel and tire in the spare location, and drop it into the rotation when you wear out the other four.

But something else to think about.
The original poster said they are installing Method wheels. If he is keeping the stock wheel for a spare, he will need to keep his stock lug nuts in order to install his spare. A lot to have to remember and keep track of.
KISS solution is get a fifth matching wheel and tire.

Got another two separate questions:
1) I have *new* brake (booster pump?) noise pretty often now, like every few minutes, the noise comes on for 2-3 seconds when i step on brake pedal. The break pedal feel and braking performance are normal. Just back from two days of trail runs. I tried to pump the brake pedal 40 times with engine off, and then turn on engine, same sound and stops pretty quickly, like 5+ seconds, and the break pedal feels normal / pressured. Any advice? It's not loud but loud enough to be noticed at driver seat.
2) for those with slee skids, do you have to take off the skids to lubricate the (front) drive shafts?

5-tire rotations also eliminate the situation I'm in now with my (new to me) 2015 Tacoma. The spare tire has never been used, and in fact I think I was the first person to even lower it to lubricate the winch. The 10-year-old Dunlop tire still has the whiskers on it, but it's way beyond it's age limit, plus the non-matching steelie rim is pretty rusty. I don't consider it safe to use.
And I just realized the spare needs acorn style cone seat lug nuts, but the rims on the truck have the flat seat lug nuts.
Not sure how I'm gonna fix this. I don't care for the alloy rims on the truck now, so I don't want to buy another matching one. The cheap Firestone tires on the truck now are still in very good condition. Ugh...

I’d consider getting any wheel that will fit and put as cheap a tire on there as you can. Then take your time deciding on 5 wheels in preparation for a set of whatever new tires when you need them.
When that time comes you can recover some of the cost of the interim wheel and tire on the used market.
You’re still taking a risk of buying one tire to address an unrepairable flat but without jumping on a set of wheels now I don’t see how you address things more efficiently.
Shops probably won’t even move that old tire to a good wheel.
There's no way I'd do that. The rim is fine, just needs cleaned up and a fresh coat of paint. I have a bucket of old lug nuts, I'll fish 6 of them out and put them in the spare changing kit.

So yes, many have documented the harsh shift / shift shock in the 1-2 changes, especially with acceleration from a rolling stop or braking-then accelerate at certain low speeds... In my case, I minimize this by (always) using ECT Power mode.
OK, here’s my SQOD: What am I missing here? Isn’t this TSB for LX570? Will a Toyota dealer do this Lexus TSB? I’ve found a “strict” no crossover policy between the Lexus and Toyota dealers here.
This one only covers 2016-2017 (not 2016+) - which is the issue most threads cover:

My stupid question for the day. Did the 2020 come with two tool boxes in the tailgate? I purchased my truck used, im the 3rd owner and 54k miles. More generally seems the last two owners were retired folks who took care of the truck nicely.
There is only one toolbox in my LC on the right side, which looks to include the bottle jack lifts and some wrenches, etc. (in great condition btw!)The left side is missing any components, is this how the truck arrived from factory? Or did a previous owner remove tools that I should replace?
If not, does anyone sell a container or 3d printed parts to customize this empty space? If not, I'll probably design and 3d print my own tool box, first aid kit, etc.

The left side is empty. I believe there is a safety flare kit available in other markets, something like that. I keep mine full of rope, bungees, and ratchet straps.
