Ron,
Check out OTRATTWs rockers for the back lit Carlings.

They cover the sides of the rocker base, eliminating light bleed and they're contoured for less of a forklift look. Plus, they're backlit.

Dash looks killer. Nice work.

Where's the tunes?

Thanks Chris, That's what I was looking for. I wasn't happy with the colored lights. If I have to get a radio, it will be in the tuffy box.

David,

Thanks Man, I wasn't sure about the color, either.

Ron,
Have to swap the switch body to gain the second LED for back lit feature. It can be wired to IGN, since very little draw, can't see during the day, and for ease of bypassing the headlight harness.

Just idears.

Worked with Jim extensively on my OCDism for the FJC switch panel, but lost interest in the FJC "build" before he offered the rockers to market.

Knew you'd have tunes somewhere!

Your project has be rethinking the '76 dash, altogether, since it turned out so sharp.

David,

It came from Restomod Air. http://www.restomodair.com/shopproducts/restomod-ac-condenser-11-1044-size-15-58-x-20-½-x-1/ It wasn't a part of any kit. I just picked one that would fit, maybe a little too big.

Hey Ron, havent been around for awhile due to spending lots of money to make very little progress ;). I'm getting back on track now and ordering the restomod vapir this weekend. I noticed the post above and was curious, what size condensor would you pick if doing it again?

Alright, I'm going to have to show my ignorance here but WHAT is that 4 lever on your transmission hump? The first one from the left? It's probably incredibly obvious, but with your ebrake to the left of the drivers seat, gear shift and transfer case x 2 fairly obvious, the purpose of the 4th has eluded me.

Hey Rodney,

I used the #1044 http://www.restomodair.com/shopproducts/restomod-ac-condenser-11-1044-size-15-58-x-20-½-x-1/ and it fit alright, I just wanted to get the largest I could. JMack's is a little shorter in height and would help fitting it under the hood latch. Both of ours are modified applications, as far as where radiators, etc. are mounted, so yours might be different. I also had to drill a hole for the lower hose to go through the doghouse support. It looks like JMack's will miss that.

That fourth lever is for the PTO winch. It's not the correct one for the year cruiser I have, but it's the one for a later style split case transfer case and PTO, that I'm using. ( Hope it works! )

JMack,

Don't kid yourself, I'm just a bubba with a hammer and anvil. :) I truly enjoy watching what you come up with, having a hotrodder's backround and applying it to the cruiser. Keep up the good work.

Well, it's been a long Summer waiting for the painter, but it's just about done. We mounted the doors and are going to do the fenders on Monday. So far, I'm liking it. Not traditional colors, but close. Here's a sample. The white is a Dodge color, from the 50's truck line, called Sand Dune White. The green is a Toyota color #6H9, gray green.

Wow, that is gorgeous Ron. I love that color combo. From the pick, the white doesn't seem to be too far off from what I've seen of cygnus white, but as i've never seen either in person, I could be way off. I can't wait to see the whole thing painted, hopefully in person some day :D

Thanks for the info on the condensors Jmack and Ron. I think I'll go with what Jmack picked since it seems to be a better fit.

How long did it take you guys to get your ac's from restomod?

Ron, I seem to be in a perpetual state of envy with you. I would love to have a pto winch, but ended up going with the 8274. I don't recall seeing any pics of your winch. Have you posted them?

Thanks Guys! The Sand Dune does have a little more " Creamy " look to it. It matches the Monstaliner bedliner, a bit better than Cygnus. I'd like to get it home and the new shoes on it, before posting pictures, got to put some lipstick on her. :)

Rodney, started @ Feb. 2013 on page 16 and finished the rebuild, of the winch @ May. It went from this..

As always Ron your work is an inspiration and seeing the quality of work you are putting into this Pig in pictures makes me hope to someday be able to see it in person.

Thanks Guys!

I think we all count on each other for some encouragement, from time to time. It's good to have a group of like minded people to bounce ideas off of and set me straight. I'm so jealous of you guys, who actually get to drive yours, I'm tried of making engine noises. :)

Lil'John,

Not bad at all. My problem is the painter pulled the vent window, to paint and I didn't see where the washers all went. I'll have to take apart one from the parts wagon. You will have to drive out the small pin, in order to get the handle off. There's a spring under that piece. Like everything else, might as well get new screws and rechrome the handle. It will be nice to start rebuilding all this one last time.

It's home, Got a lot of work to do yet, but overall, I really like it. I've got one big problem. The driver's front fender doesn't line up right. Might have to take it apart and see where we can tweak it some. You'll see the bottom of the fenders aren't bolted down yet, can't do that until the fender is set right.

I just want to bolt up the new shoes and stare at it.:)
