Soooo.... I shredded these up pretty good 🙈

Short of the story for an 1984 Fj60:
- LS v8 swap putting out 550 HP
- H55F swap (5 speed)
- 33in wheels
- Stock front and rear diffs (3.73)

Knowing this, do I rebuild/throw 3.70's in again? Replace front and rear with 4.10s? Something else? Who would you be buying from? WYD?

She dead :D

We would love of help @ Cruiser Outfitters. We stock a wide variety of ways to resolve your diff woes including ARB, Eaton, Detroit, LockRight and more, combined with gears of your liking. Or, we have clean open diff center sections available. All can be shipped as parts as soon as Monday morning for Tuesday delivery 😎

Should you want a complete diff, we have those too! We can pre-build anything you'd like.

We stock 4.88/ARB and 4.88/Eaton combos as those are the most popular but we can build anything.

With your drivetrain, I don't suspect you want for power in high range... thus sticking with the factory gear ratio probably makes the most sense and simplifies the repair. A full carrier replacement such as ARB is going to be significantly stronger however as you broke the spider/side gearset versus a R&P resulting from carrier deflection, I'd lean towards just rebuilding with a clean used differential gearset and new cross-shaft unless you need/want the locking diffential.

buy a good used drop in diff, just north of you and get the rig back on the road while coming up with a long term plan.

Appreciate all the thoughts. Cleaned it out today, everything except the washers and gears look fine TMK. Will just replace the gearset and pinon shaft so I can get back on the road indeed 🤘 @3_puppies

@cruiseroutfit I didn't see anything similar on your site: Spider With Side Gear Kit, 81-88 FJ6# BJ60 HJ6# - https://www.fjparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=2102{1}37{3}1 but more than happy to buy a gearset from you from you if you've got something in stock

We definitely have them, love volume mover so not on the site. Email our parts team and they can reply with options Info@cruiseroutfitters.com
