No internal support from the carrier to the frame, bummer.
received yesterday. went on pretty smoothly. well built. good tolerances. completely bolt on. I can revert back to original bumper and end cap with no evidence it was ever there.
Ordered the fifth wheel mount. Premable, yes, I understand all of the nuances of old rigs, measurements, exact fits, etc. No, I will not accept that as an excuse for $2K. The first time, the bracket wouldn't fit the bumper, so much for it being "bolt on".
Huh. OK, let me return it and get a replacement. Done. Four weeks later, I go to mount the hardware, yeah, it's super tight, but wait. The spring-loaded stop won't even line up with its stop hole (problem 1), but the bigger issue is that the latch is way off.
I'm not in industrial design, but why they chose a super-small latch is beyond me. Yeah, not worth the money. Maybe their affluent customers have all the cash to pay for their billable hours, but I don't, and I'm very unhappy about this. I'll just have to find a local shop to help me correct their mistake and eat the cost.
Thanks for the headaches, Brian. I'll just have to find a way to scratch that brand name off the handle in protest.

That’s unfortunate. Did you try it with a tire on it? Maybe the weight will bring it down?
