I'll play.

Anybody got pics of a fully desmogged 3FE? I mean everything gone but the absolute essentials?

I'll get a picture up later. It clears up a lot of room.

Cool. I really like the open floor plan of my fully desmogged 2F, but will likely be building a 2FE soon and want to keep it that way as much as possible. Not sure I've ever seen a pic of what that looks like though.

Some of these engine bays are inappropriately clean. It makes me wonder if the 4WD gets used!

Desmog, overbore, full header-back exhaust, dual batteries and a clutch master cylinder :)

Nice. Man that air cleaner assembly seems massive on those things!

It's a cautionary tale about what 10+ years of road salt can do to a car.

My 60 is on a truck coming across the Nullabor now (unregistered otherwise I would have flown over and driven it back). I've been pouring over my Haynes manual and the FSM whilst I wait and please excuse the rookie question but I can't identify what the item is that is mounted to the firewall right behind the last cylinder on the left. At work so I can't upload anything to identify it.

It has a hose coming out horizontally and a lateral outlet hose coming out the base and there appears to be a small valve or switch in the assembly. Is it part of the cooling system?

Sorry for going off topic. Picture of my engine bay coming soon (eta 2 day hopefully).

It's the heater valve, controlling how much hot water passes through the heater core.
