Tried the site on two different networks. Search times and back button appear slow.

Both networks are N with fat pipes.

yes, slow for me as well - on three different networks, no matter whether I use a hard-wire or wireless connection

About the same speed for me.

Same speed as old MUD, maybe faster... not to mention its 100X better when using a mobile browser than old MUD (considering it seems to be optimized for one)

Are you using an outdated browser or hardware possibly?

no major difference that I can see

I am on an Apple macbook pro, maybe it is the browser. I guess I will have to play around with it. But it is definitely much slower than the old Mud.

Clear your Cache by resetting Safari. You will lose auto-logins on stuff (like Netflix) so make sure you remember all your passwords.

its up to s*** here,i can only get it on the mobile site, keeps telling me there is a parse error and report it,maybe the satellites are fxxxed up here looking for malaysia airplane,im pissed at the moment with it,maybe im doing something wrong but its not happening

We've made only minor software or server adjustments at this point...needed a few days of baseline traffic...should be making adjustments in the next couple days, and then every week or so for a while.

It took years to get the previous software running smooth... Many of you weren't around for those headaches ;)

Silver Star/Gold Star users need to be SURE they have looked at their Preferences RECENTLY and made appropriate adjustments.

Turning ads off in preferences (assuming you have a silver star) seemed to help. Running Chrome on a Windows 7 PC.

It was running much slower for me, then Woody turned off the back ground picture and it got much better. Still slower than the old forum. I have all the ads turned off that I can, am running Chrome on a reasonably recent lap-top. It seems to default to trying to load an ad, then the forum comes on. How about the other way around? Forum, then the ad at the top of the forum?

The ads have also been more annoying, with things that move, harsh colors, and totally unrelated to cars, off roading etc. Right now, it's an add for huggies diapers which I haven't needed in about 20 years. Next it will be "depends".

^this

Seems to be a little better now. I understand it will take some time to dial-it in.

When I click on a link (100 series tech, classifieds, etc), nothing happens. I have to right click and open in new window. It's getting quite annoying. Nothing changes in the address bar. This issue is on my iPhone, iPad, laptop, work computer, everything.

I'm not seeing that issue at all on my end. other than internal redirects not working (woody has sated numerous times that these are being fixed) and the forum URL structure not being updated, i.e. old bookmarks etc not working, all other links have been fine for me. Are you talking internal or external links.

The lag thing is definitely present.

I watched the URL's when clicking on links, it appears that the site is slow responding to the request. So it's loading, but the URL doesn't change on my end until ~15-20 seconds after I click, then it loads. A quick refresh or "open in new window" loads it instantly.

gottcha. yes, the site is very slow at the moment. Every click shows the page cycling through 6+ ad servers apparently.
